I have the same issue as you. As far as my 12 hours go I pack a large lunch with two sammiches, lots of veggies and hummus, popcorn (great to munch on and low cal), and some cheese. That will last me a whole shift. The biggest thing is being disciplined enough to make the food before a shift.
As far as 24s go, most of my companies stations dont have full kitchens so people bring electric hot plates and pans and cook good food. Creativity is key here. Since I started working I have gained about 14 pounds eating like shit because Panda Express is fucking delicious.

Instead of getting the giant meal, get a box of veggies and one other item.

    uuuughgh...I fucking love panda express.

My problem is I will bring food, and my partner will get some delicious food from somewhere..and I am like: "fuck this shitty food...Im getting a BURGER"

Usually because I wait 20 minutes before I have to leave to get my food ready, so it ends up being terrible..haha

I hate that. And most of my partners are skinny people with metabolisms like humming birds. Screw em.

Where is this knotty muscle? I would suggest heat and as the Chair Force guy said some Motrin... If you have some muscle relaxants around like Flexeril take it... If not then some cold beer and a massage from a good woman..

ibuprofen is the shit when it comes to muscle aches, sprains, strains, etc...

Motrin or Advil, I prefer Motrin because it has a better coating on it and it doesn't tear up my stomach as much.

I had a pretty bad concussion when I was 15, and the ER doc perscribed me 600mg motrin for the headaches I had the for 2 weeks after the incident.

They were great! Better than any BS tylenol...haha.

Just have to be careful with the liver...

I was taking a lot of motrin for a back issue a while back (thanks EMS) and when I went for my physical for my new job my liver enzymes were up:eek:

Ibuprofen doesn't fix the problem though. You need a professional massage or acupuncture. And if the massage doesn't hurt like a bitch you're not getting the right one. It should feel like death is taking a red hot acid shit on your back. But the day after (Or maybe even the day after the day after) you'll feel like a million bucks.

But right after it? Load your Extra Stength Advil in a pez dispenser and get someone else to drive for you.

I was taking it while I was doing some back strengthening exercises, got my lower back stronger and I have almost no issues now.

Just the normal ache after the shift, but nothing that nags me like it used to.

My girlfriend has been nagging me to go to the chiropractor, but I dont know if I buy into that mess yet...haha. Although she had a lot of success going to the chiro.
