    yes

all cars sold can have lights adjusted by optical beamsetter it is part
    of vehicle inspection laws

op and anyone thinking it is funny to get flashed = douche

you get flashed often it is a sign you are not fitting into the automotive society very well, so how
about getting out of 8th grade mentality and being a man and doing shit right

Last time I posted in this thread I hadn't had anyone flash me, but since then I have been flashed a few times during backroad trips. In town I have had no problems. One person last night was flashing his highs behind another car off/on a few times real fast in an opposite lane, don't know if he was directing that at me or what. Otherwise only when it is really dark and I am going up a hill do people flash me, and small compact cars at that.

OP, Why are you determined to be so inconsiderate? I sense an underlying issue. were you bullied as a kid and noone came to your aid?

Maybe people don't know how to adjust. Maybe I don't feel like sitting at a dealership waiting for them to adjust.maybe I don't own a garage. I also think the guy that moves to name calling in a debate has little in the way of composing an argument. My vehicles get inspects yearly. Maybe, just maybe, some people are just super sensitive. Engineers designed the lights. It has not been altered in any manner by myself. If you feel it is an issue call Toyota. Try to get away from the ra-ra internet name calling, and better not only the automotive community but the world.

Maybe you just don't care. It is an adjustment, but you can't be bothered, and boldly say you refuse to adjust, while getting flashed all the time. 8th grade fits.

Most of us don't get flashed, our lights are adjusted correctly.

    The better coast
This thread will turn into a "stop smoking", "don't text and drive", "gun control" type of thread.
Someone will get butt hurt at the fact that someone else said they are in the wrong. The said butt hurt person will say I can do what I want and no one ,including government regulations or unspoken rules of society, will change that.

Then some will ultimately bring up the amendments and rights and how the government tries to regulate our lives to much :notnaminganynames:, a little juju magic will happen and then the thread will be locked.

    With that being said...

And you don't need a "Garage" to do it, and in fact, you should not use a garage.

The aiming needs to be done at 20ft. That's a big fuggin garage!
Using the driveway to aim at the garage door isn't generally good either because most driveways are graded away from the garage to prevent flooding. Aim that way and you'll end up low.

OTOH, I intentionally have mine aimed a bit low. If I need more, I have high beams. On low beam, I don't have to worry about blinding others if I have a load in the back.

So I have been keeping track of the flashes.8when driving uphill, 1 on flat, 2 downhill. at is since my last post. I typically drive between 3pm and 1am and pass a thousand or so other cars. I have decided not to drive uphill instead of adjusting. The majority of flashers are small cars. Prius, insight, versa, and Subaru. Maybe people just get butt hurt quicker in this day and age. If it only takes five minutes, someone come over and do it. Heck, it's only five minutes. See you in a few. I only brought up garage as it has been preached as gospel in previous posts.

After raising the front of my 2012 Taco 2 1/2 inches and the rear 1 inch, I put 285-75-17 BFG's on it and I was blinding everybody. Then someone showed me how to adjust the headlights. Everyone is happy now

Could you please walk CLynch through it. He'd rather be a dick and argue that it's too much bother.

I haven't been flashed but I did notice that my drivers side headlight is angled up more than my passengers. Noticed it while my truck was driving behind me (driving a drunk buddy home) I can also tell when driving at night and I stop behind someone, the cutoff is higher on the drivers side.

I just lowered my headlights alittle more but wont go any lower. I like my headlights a certain height to be able to see ok on country roads and not have to use my high beams all the time.
If i still get flashed, then oh well..
