Ugh. When it rains, it pours. I think most of you know by now that my mom has stage 3 bone cancer. Well today she had a small cough, and because her bones were so weak from the cancer that she ended up fracturing/breaking several of her ribs. Now she is in the hospital for the next 3 days or so while they keep her on pain meds and try to keep her from catching pneumonia or any other breathing problems. After that it looks like she will be going to a nursing home for 6 weeks or more until she can heal. It really sucks to see a woman who was so bright and full of energy to degrade so rapidly. My mom was so incredibly brilliant. She has her masters in English Literature, and is a jeweler, making her own jewelry for people in and around our small town. Everyone here knows her. Please, even if you don't say anything here, knowing that your prayers were with her for a good recovery would be appreciated. Thanks all.

I feel your pain, my friend. Wishing for the best for both our mothers. Cancer of any type fucking sucks. You have my number if you need someone to talk to.

Thanks for the words of support. They mean a lot. Right now we are just waiting to see what else happens. Today, just an hour after we left her from visiting we get a call saying that they are moving her to ICU. After we get back we find that from the readings on the monitor, and the information that they could glean, they suspect (Though have not said 100%) that she had a heart attack. This is really stressing the hell out of me and my sister. I just can pray and put it in God's hands.

Well it has been confirmed. They said that she suffered a massive heart attack on Sunday. After confirming with all the blood work and tests yesterday, today they will be running a CAT scan with a few other tests to see if there is a blockage, or what else may have caused the attack, and then see what they can do for treatment. Shit guys I am worried.
