With heating and shaping, you can get the contour correct but they are much MUCH more secure completely bolted on. Yes I know that the directions say that you don't have to.... If you go with longer bolts on the front, you can use all of the original holes from the factory flares. Unfortunately, it didn't worky so well on the rears. The holes are about 1 inch too low.

Either way, don't pay it and don't drill if you don't want to. I just know that to me, to get the look I wanted it was indeed worth it and for others that are interested, it IS possible.

Oh okay so you just got the ones that were made for the double cab long bed and modified them to fit right?

Yes Sir! The ones for the standard bed can be reshaped and fit to the short bed. It's time consuming but they really look great and I have no regrets.

If i'm not mistaken Toku over at TN was doing a poll for these fender flares from Bushwackers for the DC SB to see if there was much interested in purchasing these before they mass produce them in the market. There was about 15 - 20 people interested in purchasing them if they come out for the DC SB so I have heard from them since. I was pretty interested in these untill I saw the glassworks and fiberwerx rear fender. They're kick ass fender flare for both front and rear if you going with long travel later on!

    Hey guys,

Sorry it took me so long to post some pics. But I've got em up now.

I hope that they really do have the flares close to production. They were telling me that they were close months ago.

I just bought a tacoma last weekend and I haven't been a member on this site for very long but I thought you guys would want to see this truck. Looks like it has the glassworks fenders too. Sure does look bad ass! Wish I could see the mod list! Tires? Lift? LT? ect..

Well I e-mailed them again yesterday and here was their response back a few minutes ago:
We are currently working on them and should have them ready soon. We don't have a date because things happen.

    Sincerely,

    Customer Service
    Bushwacker, Inc.

Jeez, I don't think they are ever going to come out with them! I mean is it that hard to make? Look, other people figured out a way to make the original set work on there DC SB models and they don't even work for the company!!!
