Man, I was just out at San Diego at SAIC, adjacent to Qualcomm.

I saw a long travel Taco and many tricked out Tacos on I-5 as I traveled from Del Mar to SAIC daily and as I drove around the area after hours.

I plan on shooting the install and will also take it out to the desert for a sequence, so all can get a feel of what this looks like.

I'm in DC the first week of January, so probably the first weekend of the new year will be when it's there and installed.

LOL! The stock JK bumpers are a joke!!! I have one, I can attest to that! My stock bumpers were entirely plastic crap! The only ARB available was the full width that tied into the stock fenders though. I went with a Poison Spyder Brawler in the front and the rear and Bushwhacker flat fenders as I wanted skinny, high clearance bumpers. The ARB stubby that came out months later for the JK is HOT! But, it wasn't an option at the time, and I hated the stock JK fenders so, ARB wasn't an option for me at the time.

Shrockworks are AWESOME!!!! But, the wait time for their products is ridiculous from what I have read. I stayed away from them for that reason. I May be willing to go with them for my Taco's bumper though, as I am in now rush, LOL! Only other concern is, they are HEAVY! Yeah, beefy construction is great BUT, on a vehicle with limited payload capacity, one has to make concessions to save some weight! (my JK (buy the end of its build) had very little of its payload capacity left due to the weight of aftermarket parts! LOL!)

Would you mind posting more pictures of the arb on your truck? Trying to make up my mind because the rest of my money is due on mine that I have reserved or getting my deposit refunded.

Don't worry Tyler, my bumper check will only be going 1 place...and I'll give you a hint...there's no kangaroos where it's going.

    OK, it's on.

The concerns about it sticking too far out are overblown. However, it is a heavy bitch.

It was dark when I got home so I'll do a detailed write up and pics tomorrow.

Your Truck looks great and ready!
I've been waiting forever it seems to add a bumper to my 2012

Looks like yours doesn't require cutting up the stock plastic bumper cover right?

Can we get some side-profile shots please? I'd like to see how far it really does stick out.

I'll shoot a standoff pic looking down on it from a hill a little later. The close in shot exaggerates the size of the bumper.

The cut off piece of bumper isn't really a big deal, and the remaining piece finishes out the bumper well.

So how is that working out with the OME 886 and the bumper?

How much was it and where did you get it?

    Looks good I like it.

I drove around with the 886 on the truck for about three months and the ride was very stiff. The ARB softened that noticeably.

The winch, bumper and install was $3,050 and I think the bumper alone was $1050.

I bought it from an ARB dealer in El Paso - 4 Wheel Parts.
