Damn, now that I look at the battery, I see what you were saying. +- are flipped and wrong side if it was turned.

By the way, what welder(s) are you using? Are they yours? or a shops? Been looking for a good one myself thats not a harbor freight.

 

I have an old HF mig welder and a Everlast Powerpro 205. I still use the HF welder w/ flux core more than the new unit, its really old so it dosnt have all the crazy electronics like the new stuff. Its got a simple transformer inside and some wires. A dude gave it to my dad when I was little and I learned to weld with it, and I can put down some nice beads. I really enjoy the TIG, but its a pita trying to weld upside down, with no room, ect. Its a great bench tool for sure. Iv even done cast alum with it.

I had some issues with the first Everlast machine I had, they've since re-designed it and the new one seems much better... Hasnt blown flames and sparks out the side at least Iv put it through its paces thats for sure. Their support is pretty top notch as well

Under the light bar on the bumper. The HID's are coming off

Might be... I have 32" to work with. Worse comes to worse the bar will come off.

So you got rid of the HID's and went with the Light bar right? Happy with the output?

Ever consider putting security screws on the light bar? or a small TAC into place?

 

Yes took the HIDs off. Love the output. I have a plan for security... filling in the allen head holes with 2 part putty. Wont be a quick job to steal, but a 10 min job for me to get the 2 bolts out if I ever need too. Insurance covers it as long as its bolted on anyways.

 

Nice. Whats the deal with insurance ? I was told in the past, 90's, that insurance would cover ANYTHING that was bolted on with 4 or more bolts to a permanent part of the vehicle. So the LED bar has 2 Bolts to the bumper/ not 4.

I'm guessing the info I have is out of date?

 

Different ins company, diff policy probably. My rear LED's are covered... 1 bolt. Trick is visiting them before stuff walks off

 

For whomever's information. Perfect way to seal up the stitching and any small holes in best top soft tops... use this stuff. Works perfect, blends perfect. Even sealed up a small hole with it

I have an idea for you, can get creative with it and it is re-useable.

Basically, heat it up, mold to shape you want, let cool... Sandable, paintable. When your done, you can apply heat to remove it.

Just an idea if you wanted to get creative with the look of the mount. Could totally conceal the screws/ bolts, all the way down to the bumper and blend it in to each other. Then tape off the area and rattle can it.

Yeah, that works too. Durable as anything else out there and can take a beating.
