I looked for you but they parked the truck in the handicap spot and some woman was turning the parking lot into a traffic jam. I'll stop in on my way home from work some evening when I see the Green Dragon parked out back.

    Thanks again, Silas!

Anyone have any good recommendations for paint/ bed liner, had to remove my sliders this weekend and after 2 months of heavily salted roads the paint is chipped pretty bad and rust was starting to creep in. Started sanding them down but I'll have to wait til it warms up a bit to respray. Was thinking of putting a few coats of primer followed by a few coats of paint and then clear, any thoughts on this for sliders?

Your gonna scratch all that off. I would do krylon or I used the Walmart bedliner and just make sure to let it dry thoroughly.

Like cloudy said, they're gonna get beat if you use them. I used brush on rustoleum enamel because it goes on thick and is super easy for touch ups since no masking is required. Even that stuff was no match for rock bashing though

definitely don't do a clear coat though.

edit: Here's what the finish on mine looks like

I did Rustoleum rubberized rattle can stuff. But like Steven said it won't last if you use your sliders.

Thanks for the input guys! I need another sanding wheel so ill pick up some paint while I'm there. I know there will be scratches and chips but my main concern is rusting that crap looks horrible.

I'd recommend Line X. Go over to Line X Albuquerque on Menaul and talk with Zach or Dulcie. That stuff looks great and has a lifetime warranty :)

I have the exact same type of tire.. I love them AND they aren't that expensive at all... averages to be about $420 for a whole new set.... beats the racing type of tires I needed for my old car.... $1200 for a complete set :\
