Brady is 1/2 step behind Young even.

 

I think the key to Brady's success is the hurry-up offense to make it hard on defenses to get substitutions in for different packages, not really to any particular talent that Brady possesses, he's good and I'm sure he will make it into the Hall, maybe not first ballot but he will at some point. Don't think anyone else in that offense will though, it's mostly Brady alone.

 

Well, we shall see once TFB is retired, but right now it's not looking like a terrible comparison.

Kap is a second year guy and made one single mistake last night, his future is bright, he throws harder than anyone I have ever seen other than Marino in his prime. I don't know what his 40 speed is but the last time I saw something that big move that fast it had 'US Air Force' stenciled on the sides of it and flames coming out of the back of it. Wait till he gets in sync with all of the receivers and especially Vernon. If he develops that intuitive bond like Jerry and Joe, watch out.
I think the best playoff game this year will be played in Atlanta, the Super Bowl will be an afterthought.

 

I'm not jealous at all, trust me, I'll take our kid Kap over your aging superstar any day of the week. And I am not hating on Brady either, I'm just wanting to put his work and the Pats (in general), into the broader consideration of the NFL's history. The glory years of the Packers, the Steelers of the 70's, Dallas in the 90's, does New England merit mention among those teams? Sure, I'm not disputing that, but I am not wont to glorify Brady as anywhere near the greatest of all time.

 

if 180 yards of rushing by a QB is 'easily impressed' then I have to ask what it would take for one who is not so easily impressed? Walking on water? Heal the sick? Turn water into wine?

In summary, JJ Watt is the best player in NFL history.

 

Last sentence..that's something lofty to throw around, IMO can't be discussed till it's over for TFB..but it doesn't look unrealistic either.

as long as Brady is in it, he will continue to win. he wont leave and come back and jump team to team, he'll stay with the pats, and win until he feels like giving it up. and until the day he gives it up, he will be the most winningest post season QB in NFL history. Tom Brady is playing NOW, not in the 90s, not in the 70s. shit now is way more advanced than it was, linebackers are bigger faster and stronger. for him to accomplish what hes done so far, is a huge statement. definitely a hall of famer, behind no one, and id take him any day over any QB in the league right now. he is the greatest QB of my generation, and thats all i care about, since i wasnt watching it in the 90s, 80s, or 70s.
