I got 50k out once with no issues. You need to call the branch manager ahead to make sure they got it and let them know what denomination you want. Sounds funny, but banks no carry 40k on hand in 100's every day. Also don't post on public forum you'll be driving around with 40k in NYC.

Not sure why you would take it all out at once and not just use it as needed, but I'm sure you have your shady reasons.

Nope. Anything over 5k is "looked" at. Anything over 10k is looked at hard core.

It's your money so you can withdraw as much as you need. I'm pretty sure you need to actually use hardship money for hardship. 99% sure they want proof money is going to right places and your just not trying to avoid the huge tax penalty. I am assuming this all though.
