Those are the group buy prices.

If we hit 50 orders, there's another small price break.

Boy how today turned into a great day. Wake up, check T4R.org and see Trek Lights, see those awesome pod lights, mention them, and now I don't even have to buy them, I'm getting bigger lights. I'm getting a bonus!! Yay karma!

I'm gonna make AJ wire mine though.

Can you educate me on the differences ES series and XT series? This would probably be good information to post on the group buy page for lighting newbs like me.

I was ready to jump on that deal for starting the group buy, along with a few other of us. Hopefully some good karma will come our way also for not stealing your hook up lol.

    Sure thing.

The main difference is that the XT Series TrekLights use CREE LED's, which are made in the USA, versus the ES Series which uses Epistar LED's, which are made in Taiwan.

The CREE's carry a heftier price tag because they are made in the USA and they are a well respected brand. Also, some people say they are better quality, but I'm still waiting to see the science on that claim.

The CREE LED's also are closer to 5000K temperature than the Epistar's, even though both are rated at 6000K. That means that the CREE's are producing more visible light.

The XT Series TrekLights are also IP67 rated, which means that they are protected against dust intrusion and can be safely submerged in 3 feet of water for up to 30 minutes.

Feel free to post this blurb in the GB thread.

It's overlapping my headlights cause I have the 2005 lights, the hood latch release is too short to reach the new grille, and this fucking black plastic bar thing is in the way! I couldn't pop it off either! Fucking annoying

You will figure it out but it looks tricky. Why did you decide to not modify your grill and use a different gen grill?
