    Yeah I know it was a recall. My service records show it was already repaired. In 2006 I believe. So I think I'll have to pay for it anyway. I'll see what they have to say about it.

    Thanks. Should I try tightening the bolt to see if that helps?:confused:

    I know it's crappy, but this is the only video I have right now that shows the play in the UCA bushings. Might try and get a better one in the morning.

    Yeah, looks like the upper frame bushings are done. The front one we can see should not move like that. I doubt the long bolt is moving, it is the bushing moving on the bolt. I doubt tightening will help much but is worth trying. IIRC, the bushings have an inner metal sleeve so they may not tighten very much.

    May be time for some camburg uniball UCAs. :D

    Nope, I love it.. I've had to replace the key fob once in 4 1/2 years... but I work at a tire shop and my keys are always in my pocket. So that's probably not a normal problem. haha

    Had my oil changed, changed rear diff fluid, Bought new oil cap cause my old one was toast and got a new main key made...

    Noticed my valve covers were leaking and tightened all the lower bolts, this week I will have the gaskets replaced..

    176k miles.. better safe than sorry.

    just to clarify, yes the lower one goes out quicker because the shock is mounted to the LCA, meaning the entire weight of the truck is supported by that lower ball joint. The upper just keeps the spindle upright.

    The problem with progressives is there isn't a spring manufacturer anywhere that builds them right & I understand that, its not cost effective to tailor a spring for every individual truck/owner, I've only had 1 set that were right & only because I had them custom made thru National spring here in San Diego, they were for my '72 Dodge Power Wagon, the cost was staggering, right at $1,000 & those were 1970's dollars,

    I build my own leafpacks using Chevy truck springs & will probably never use anything else, my ride is back to amazing, instead of soft-to-choppy- to harsh, the rate is the same all thru the spring cycle with linears
