Factory Bridgestone Duelers?

How do you guy's like the factory Bridgestone's on the 17" TRD Sport wheels? I am looking at getting some of these and was curious on the tire quality/mileage. Anyone have personal experience with these?

 

I guess if your not going to offroad on them there ok but i wouldnt reccommend those. for the money invest in a better tire that will last, im running the bridgestone dueler revo's awesome tire thats my choice.

They are the worst tire ever. I hated those tires so much and couldn't wait to get rid of them, they wore out quickly, and horrible traction wet or dry.

 

I don't mind mine too much...but they aren't great. There are better options out there.

 

There awful on road but completely suck balls offroad. if you hit mud they becaome slicks almost instantly.

This guy is reading my mind. If you can, get something else. I bought my truck used and the dealer put the Duelers on and wish every day they would have left on the old bald tires so I could have gotten something else. They are absolutely horrible in the snow, wet and dry traction are OK. Plus IMO they look like crap.

 

I have 10K on mine. They pics up little rocks (where I park at work) and once in a while I hear them sling out in the wheel well. Once they are worn out, they will be replaced with something better. Too many good options out there.

I don't off road so I am not interested in big tread.

 

The HT series tires are an All Season Highway Tire- so it makes sense that they do not perform offroad. I'm kinda guessing the OP wants street tires if he was shopping HTs to start with.

 

I've got just over 30,000 miles on mine. They have been fine on dry, iffy on wet, and pretty good the first winter (snow), but this past winter sucked (with about 20,000 to 25,000 miles).

I'm sure they are not good off road - never tried it. I probably will not buy them again, but they are hardly the worst tire out there. I've never had a OEM tire do close to 30,000 miles before.

Not great in mud and snow. Use them alot in the woods moose hunting and never got stuck yet. Very pleased with them on the highway. Very smooth and quiet for long road trips. No issues at all on pavement. When they wear out I will buy something else. Can't really justify getting rid of them until they are wore out though.

 

For a stock tire....they're OK. I personally wouldn't buy them.

I have 22,000 miles on mine (Dueler H/T) and they have about 1/4" tread left. They're getting iffy in the wet. I'll probably have to be extra careful driving in the snow this winter.

I've read people getting 40,000+ miles on them.

 

They werent the best, but I dont think they were that bad. I bought my truck used with 36K miles on it. The tires had about 1/4" tread left. I drove from AZ to WA in 30 hrs. Non-stop except for a 3 hr nap somewhere in Cali.

This is back in Feb. I drove through heavy rain and heavy snow in northern Cali and southern Oregon.

The snow was so bad in N. Cali, I-5 was blocked off and they were inspecting for chains. So I had to turn around and buy some chains. This was somewhere around Redding if I remember correctly.

When I eventually get up to the blockade, they just waved me through, didnt bother asking or checking for my chains. I noticed they were only doing it for passenger vehicles.

Followed other people tire tracks and go through no problems. Didnt even slide around. Saw lots of vehicles on the side. Didn't even installing the chains. And it was very heavy snow. Almost blizzard conditions.

Luckily, when I got back into town, I was able to return the chains for a refund.

 

i have no issues with mine at all.. great on dry.. wet and even snow.. for a factory tire i feel these are decent.

 

I had mine on for 400 miles before replacing them with Michelin Cross Terrains. I read the Duelers were garbage, so I didn't want another garbage tire like the old Dunlops I had on my 2006.

 

Well, in the defence of the Bridgestone Duelers, I recently ended up in a muddy ditch (been raining here for a while) and (barely ) pulled myself out. And I have a prerunner. So its not horrible.


But anyways, its a horrible tire. I can't wait to get rid of them. I have about 30,8** miles on my truck with those tires and it looks pretty bad.
