TJ, Thank your for saving me the time of typing this... Well said

OP your and idiot and everyone rationalizing minor details are also idiots. I'll be making my mortgage on time for the next three months while douche bags like OP continue to run this country into the ground finding loopholes and bailouts. This is a huge problem with today's culture; people take pride in laziness instead of good ethics.

A renter isn't going to battle a bank regarding a mortgage that isn't in their name.

sounds like SOMEONE jumped to conclusions here.

maybe someone IS A RENTER and the actual homeowner is being foreclosed upon

sounds like SOMEONE should learn the whole story first

sounds like SOMEONE should re-evauluate how they come at people online

sounds like SOMEONE deserves the ::crapstorm: that is probably coming his way.

    that is ALL

The OP never said it was HIS house. He said a house he was living in. I don't know about you but I never refer to MY house as the house I'm living in. It's MY house, well technically it's the bank's until I pay it off, but whatever.

it's not necessarily a mortgage issue. It was a getting kicked to the curb when entitled 9- days to find a new place and vacate. would you be able to find/afford another home for you and your family at a moment's notice?

I don't think he was fighting any mortgage. If a house you own gets foreclosed you get a hell of a lot longer than 90 days to leave. First it goes to the sheriff sale, then you have 6 months after that to be out.

My common sense from rental agreements tells me he was renting a property that was foreclosed on, the bank said he needs to leave immediately, which is simply not true so Judge Judy threw it out.

How is anyone even HINTING at rewarding laziness? Nobody here is high fiving him for NOT paying for his house! You should STFU and stop trying to judge somebody, and quit calling people idiots over crap you dont know anything about. The LAW stated the OP had certain raights that the bank was ignoring, how the hell is standing up for your rights running this country into the ground?

I don't know what the OPs deal is, but I hear what you are saying and feel the same.

Oh shit my 4,500 sqft home with a 5 year interest only loan is now adjustable. Shit I can't afford to actually pay towards principle even at these killer low rates. I know I'll just blame the bank, live mortgage free for as long as I can (my neighbor did so for 2.5 years), and then walk away from the home when the bank finally decides to kick me out. In the mean time I'll be sure to continue to buy shit I don't need and save absolutely nothing.

Again not directed at the OP, just saying I understand where TJGARZA84 is going. Yes I'm a homeower and have a 30 year fixed loan and actually am not under water. My home will be paid off in the next four to five years providing my job holds out. If not I have plan B to fall back on. Don't ask what that is, although I will say it requires the use of lots of Duck Tape and a pickle ring.

I like how you guy's think he is renting, because a bank is really going to let a renter deal with a owners mortgage. And then on top sue and send lawyers after a renter.

I sure hope one day someone invents a privacy act or maybe a Regulation.

maybe they threw an eviction notice on his door stating the house is being foreclosed/sold. regardless, the law states what the law states.

When did he say he was fighting a mortgage? I must have misread.

Everyone should probably read this and then delete their stupid comments:

Where the fuck did the OP go ?

Do you rent or own the house ?

Clear this up before this thread decends into a full fledged tampon-a-thon

It is always funny when someone calls someone else an idiot and fucks up the spelling and grammer at the same time. Irony.
