Which tool box for my truck?

    I've been looking for a good tool box. I want something small and it non-permanent mounts to the rails. I like the kobalt low profile tool box, but I want to know if it is a permanent box or not. I would have to remove it every time I load my bike. If you wouldn't recommend this tool box, what do you think I should get? Pics? Need opinions. I have a very small budget. No more than $200 small.

    I have the 150$ kobalt and used two of the tie downs too mount. Prob wouldn't b too hard to take in and out. But if you haul a bike a lot prob be a pain.

    I only haul it once in a while in the summer so I don't really haul it all the time. I might go with this one. Isn't there a way to secure it to the bed rail system?

    Yea I used two of the slider things. I just had to trim them a little to fit.

    What do you mean by trim them a little? Trimming the sliding things? How much?

    What part did you have to cut? The top? It doesn't ruin them, does it?

    Just used two of them. I had a kit you buy with tool box but didn't work and I didn't want to drill my truck to I cut the hoops off two of the tie downs. Found some bolts that where a little bigger than the hole in the tie down and just forced them in. No drilling just cut the hoops

    Yea you ruin two of them but you can buy new ones if you really need them. Best way I seem to mount it.

    I don't never lock it. I have a few times and have never had a problem. I've maybe locked it 10-15 times since I've had it. Been good for me
