Hey guys, I posted in the new members section already and it was suggested that I post up some pics here also. I was able to get a few this morning.

2012 2.7L auto 4x4 w/12,xxx miles. New to me this past Monday. Manufacture date of 4/12

I have already learned a shit ton from this forum and look forward to learning more. So far it reminds me of IH8MUD, a knowledgable and helpful community.

Tires are 265 and I think I will run them out and then go from there.
As far as mods go....first things first. Windows tinted and stereo upgrade. Got prices on those today. Just adding a sub and amp for the time being and then go from there.

Not sure how much I can do without voiding the warranty. 2019/100,000mi bumper to bumper. I haven't flexed her yet but I am sure it could use more articulation. Maybe a mild lift, armor and tires. Sliders, skids, bumpers in the future but not sure how much dirt she will see in the next couple of years. I have the 80 for that and have already armored her up.

While I have you Kyle, speaking of the tires. The sticker inside the door says 245/16's and it also has another one over it but with the bottom one still showing and they both say 245/16's but I have 265/65/17 OEM wheels. My speedo/odo should have been recallibrated right?

Thanks for the welcome. Yeah, not diggin the tails. They look pink in person. Not sure if I want the led tails so I might have my window tint guy overlay the tails and front corners. Also looking around for other year used tails that strike me the right way.

Well 245 is the stock size tires for your truck and all reg cabs, someone put them rims and tires on before trading it in. However with 245 sized tires the speedo will read about 2mph slower from the factory but since you have 265 like me your speedo should be dead on now, no need for any calibration. I pass radar signs and have a GPS and my speedo is dead on with 265's.

2012-13 don't have led tails I upgraded and put them in tho.

Will my odometer be correctly calibrated though? At least for the time being I will be trying to get a good gauge on fuel mileage and a incorrect odometer should throw that off.

Now on my 80 I am running 33's and the speedo is off by 4mph slow but the odometer is spot on. Not really sure how that worked out but I have checked it several times.

As far as I know yea ur odo will be off, it will read less miles than u actually drove IIRC, the dealer most likely did not recalibrate it. Idk how to go about checking it, don't quote me on that but that's what I've read one here.

Stock odo is off by about half the error the speedo is off.

My 5 lug, stock size is 215/70-15, speedo is off about 4-5mph at 70, odometer is off about 2 miles over 70 miles.

Well, I was up all night and decided to drive to work this morning. I know the distance is right at 22mi and my truck measured it at 21.6 which is close enough for me.

That will add up over the life of the truck but should give me pretty accurate MPG readings at fill ups.

Lost track many, many mods ago.

No, it's a M416, VERY similar to the M100. Been working on it for a few months. Picked it up for only $200 off Craigslsit. It's coming along nicely I think.

Thanks! It's been a good truck the last 5 years!

2in AAL and Bilsteins all the way up. I know people frown upon it. But the ride isn't bad at all. Much better than the four leaking corners I had originally.

Welcome! Great looking truck, man! I actually love the look of the Sport rims on there. Not too shabby.

I used to wish they did, but I was behind two Tacomas today at a stoplight. Dude on the left had the LED tails and dude on the right had one without. The LED tails looked even more pink than the non-LED. I think I'll stick with my non-LEDs for now.

As you pointed out later on, the difference will be minimal.

Just keep in mind your speedometer will be off, too and it will likely be a little bit more drastic of a difference. If you have a GPS, I would take a spin and clock yourself just so you know where you are.

Love that look! Might have to lift mine of these days.

Did you have the truck brand new? If so, how does it ride now compare to how it did the day you drove it off the lot?

I love the ride my truck has right now and would be hesitate to change it whatsoever.

    Fink

I'm putting my front 5100's in this weekend, I put the rears in already, them alone mad a pretty big improvement over stock ride quality. The rears are a little more firm but they feel like they plant the truck to the ground and less roll in turns Sharp jarring bumps are less noticeable, overall I love them, can't wait to put the fronts in.
