Mud Flaps

I have rocks hit my rockers with the flaps full length

 

Well, your lifted, but full length, I never had anything hit mine. I still may get some, but it shouldn't be as bad, I just hated them that long.

 

I have ripped 3 of mine off on rocks. Wondering how long the last on will last.....

 

What did you guys use to cut your mud flaps?

 

Tin snips

 

I was thinking jig saw but Tin snips probably work better.

I have a set from 2010 Tacoma for sale, barely a scratch on them.

 

Fiskars shop boss scissors

 

Then smooth them out with some sandpaper.

 

I removed the OEMs and went with the Weathertechs. I think functionally they are the right length and also look good!

 

I used a cutting wheel on my dremel to trim my fronts. I think I took out like 7 inches or so. I couldn't stand how they looked when I bought the truck. The rears used to scrape constantly on the rocks to point that friends used to let me know every time on the radio as a joke. Now they're in the garbage because my tires would have ripped them off.

O ya and they're removable with one allen bolt

Took the mud flaps off tonight from an 09 4x4, they are in great shape. Trying to generate moola for a relentless headache rack. Anyone want to pay a few bucks for them?

 

After reading this thread and seeing pictures...i ran outside and took mine off..I think it looks better. 2011 dclb

Anybody installed the Huskey flaps with say like a 265/70/17 tire on? Just wondering if that cut down on the rubbing? Read somewhere they don't stick out as much in the fender somehow so rubbing was reduced. Just asking. I don't want to remove mine but figure at some point i'll rip them off pulling in my driveway...or parking.
