Aw man now im not the only Mike.

Tahuya is the place to get started. My best advice:

-always be aware of your surroundings
-no matter how many times you read the book, the tortoise always beats the hare
-the truck pivot point is at the rear tire. On narrow corners, remember that all of the front end that is in front of those tires acts as a solid piece and needs to get past. If you dont remember this, you end up turning too soon and the vehicle will corner into the obstacle.
    -reverse gear is an option
-above all other rules and advice, there is this rule: if anything feels wrong, if you are unsure, STOP. Just stop. Someone will come help. We can always fix what hasnt happened.

If you don't draw blood, you're doing it wrong!
I didn't solder anything, since the UHF adapter was already on there. I haven't had any issues with it.

I'm not gonna be able to make this one. I will be helping my dad with some mods on his truck. That's the only weekend we both have free, and I promised him months ago that I would help out. :(

Tallon, that turned out badass!!! I like the design a lot, and the pure beefiness of that c-channel will probably take more abuse than most aftermarket bumpers out there.

Welcome Mike! Hey your not the only one that's new to this.... I too have yet to really explore and play around with my Tacoma besides random off the road playing in the mud..... It'd be nice to head out one of these weekends in the future to mess around and get some experience under our belts.

I would love to join you guys on the 20th, however I have a meeting I'm expected to attend. =( If by some miracle it turns out I'm not needed, I would love to go, if you guys think it would be a wise move for a staco. (damn, I should get moving on some add ons, even the word staco sounds wimpy! =( haha)

Thanks for the pointers Mike, il keep it in mind, and ya, theres always another Mike in the group somehow. A good name, but alas, a common one. =P

Glad to hear I'm not the only new guy to the group. I'm with you on that, Jeff, can't wait to get out and learn!

    Will,

I should be able to meet up with you tomorrow sometime.

Working on a date for Sunday to bring with me, she's building a '71 Chevelle...

I'm thinking maybe run down to Tahuya from Seattle together?

    Sounds great!

Also sounds good for running down to Tahuya together. Troy and I went there past summer and it was a pretty good time.

Did some calculations - it would take 30 minutes less time and cost a bit less in gas to drive so that sounds like an obvious choice.

okay, I don't think I'll be headed south at all this week. I could always ship it too.
