    ...too much shit to list.

I bought my last optima a couple years ago. Never another one. Hell the one in my truck I'm going to put in the wife's 4runner as soon as hers takes a shit.

I got a diehard platinum for my tundra and it has been the best battery I've ever owned. They are just rebranded odyssey batteries. I'd seriously recommend doing some research on them if you're in the market for a new battery.

I'm trying to get them to fit into a Columbia Overland Dual Tray, I know the Odysseys fit, but they're also expensive and with a dead battery I kinda want to get this done asap.

Jason, how do you like the Hankook MT's? How are they road noise wise?

Do you have the battery "box" as well?

Anyway, I'd suggest two yellow tops.

You get what you pay for.
I used to rock dual Odysseys.

I've only got snow, ice, and on-road feedback for them. No dirt or sand yet. So far positive (exceptional for the price point), but ask me again in a couple months.
Road noise is about the same as most MTs. Not nearly as loud as the Goodyear MTR's, TreadWrights, KM1's, or KM2's though.

Ok cool. There is set of 285's with 90% tread for $400 that I'm trying to pick up, but I do a lot of highway driving. I've had MT's in the past and it's not horrible. Thanks!

BTW, sucks to hear about your truck. I'm heading up to the snow, but near Dodge unfortunately, otherwise I'd let you borrow some parts. Sounds like that British guy was a character.

Yeah the internet is complicated that way. Luckily Bob and TW have simplified that problem by allowing you to display your age in your avatar :D

I'm in the dual battery market as well. Have been looking at the diehard platinum myself.

Anyone with experience want to do a BHLM & smoked taillights on my taco? I'll pay no problem. I have been battling sciatica for weeks and haven't done shit.

I've been eyeballing this dude's build thread for a while now. He has the dual battery setup with the plats. Give the rest of his thread a read as well. He does some really clean work.

    Good God!
I bent my core support to shit, have several cracks where the core support started separating I had to drill and reweld, AND I have a one-off oddball tripod custom mount, and I only have ONE battery in that spot. Two of them bad boys and my batteries would be hanging down in front of my tire first time out.
If/when I do duals again, they will be in the back, centered.

Also, I would two group 35 batteries that have toyota (reversed) terminals. You never know when you're out wheeling with another toyota buddy and his battery goes to shit, you can always pull one of yours. Just my 2 cents.

Are the first gens the same as the second gens? You think the second gens would start cracking as well? I need to eventually change out my shitty costco battery and was going to go straight to dual battery when I do.

You can bend the core support with your hands. It's sheetmetal.
If i were to do duals in the engine bay, one on each side.

i think gel batteries are best if you wheel, cuz the plates tend to break in normal batteries.
