    Good points all around.
I applaud folks that are not carrying who feel they would use it when they get mad, car rade ect. Most likly a mature choice.
I raised childrens and had firearms since I was a teenager, yes muzzleloaders will take down a T-REX on the way to school!

If you feel you are not ready to take on the huge responsibility of owning and carrying then by all means DO NOT OWN ONE.

The idea of having a gun for protection but not knowing how to use/operate it is seriously funny!

And what does your little AR speech have to do with this thread besides trying to muddy the waters?

Agreed. But these are not made directly to kill a multitude of people in a short period of time.

What is an assault rifle? And how does not having them stop shootings? The same guy had two semi-automatic pistols.

    FTFY

If you're going to own it, you should know how to use it and operate it safely. Every gun owner should spend some time at a range and learn their firearm, how to load, unload, clean, make sure it's clear, know what to do if there's a FTF, etc.

Cars kill more people on an annual basis. Should we outlaw those too? Nobody "Needs" a car when we have bikes, and segways, and feet....right?

Either are AR's. You have to fully understand what makes an AR an AR to realize that what the government has defined as an 'assault weapon' is not meaningful.

No N. CO near Ft Collins. There's just this wacko that lives in our building. All the women in our building have reported his odd behavior to the manager. Thers nothing they can do unless he actually does something. Aparantly just staring at my wife in front of her car while shes getting ready to leave for work is ok. But one chic said her cousin is a 911 dispatcher and found soem info on the dude. Nothing major just really odd with an unknown mental condition.

Its not a ghetto apt either, pretty nice.

Again are cars made for the soul purpose of killing people? I understand the argument you are trying to make but we're talking apples and oranges here. I agree with the right to own a gun, just dont think we need ones that can kill massive amounts of people in a short period of time.

ARs are made to shoot a "multitude" of bullets in a short period of time...The killing people happens when a person using the weapon makes a choice.

There are lawful, orderly uses of ARs. So because some people can not make good decisions - everyone (who wants an AR) should be punished?? That doesn't even CLOSE to make sense.
