Im gonna mock you just a bit. Praise to you if your willing to let some bully take all your things to spare his life. (Im not)

The bully does not always want your things.

One may have a daughter, a wife, a mother in the house. For that, I will do what needs to be done, as I feel most of us would. Hiding behind a door may not be the solution.

An AR is not needed but Im sure happy I have one. I would prefer a shotgun or a handgun for protection.

If someone pulls a gun on me first, I sure as hell would not start a fire fight.
No possession is worth my life or my family or friends.

There are 1000's of items that are available on the market that are not "needed." If we accept that because "YOU don't think I need it, I can't have" one on guns...That starts down the slippery slope. The end of the slope is socialism.
I prefer to decide for myself to buy guns, truck parts, or whatever and let someone else buy the caviar. You can decide to buy what you want.

The history of gun development is somewhat like this... Cave men get in fight with fists, caveman B loses. Next time Caveman B brings a rock a bashes Caveman A in the head... Caveman A loses. Nexttime Caveman A brings a stick and whoops caveman B with his rock. Caveman B gets a stick, sharpens it and throws it at Caveman A. Caveman A invents the Bow. "B" invents the crossbow.... Blah blah blah...see the pattern here. Without the ability to keep a..holes in check, the world will be over run by a..holes. How many news articles do you see/ hear about an a..hole robbing someone that they KNOW is armed too? None. A..holes look for victims. They look for the sheep with the smaller stick. I personally, like to have something a lottle better than a stick.

Illegal drugs are another great example of why we DON'T need to make more gun legislation.

We already have laws that say it's bad to murder people and smoke illict drugs...but both of those things happen any way. Murder we deal with when it happens. Drugs - we spend tons of money trying to preempt and we still deal with it when it happens. So will more gun laws actually make it safer or will it just be security theater like TSA??

PS- I'm all for decriminalizing drug USE and making drug use an aggrivating factor to existing crime. If you want to trash your body - Go for it. Injure or harm someone on drugs...Get your ass nailed to the wall.

If I was assured that the person attacking me would gladly leave if I surrender my personal effects that may be OK.

I do not think anyone can know the intentions of someone that has decided to take the risk of robbing you to be a swell person and go on their merry way after you give up all your stuff to them.

I prefer not to trust that persons generosity with my or others near me safety or life.

Been here 3 years and not so much as a scratch on my truck from other people. It's just a bunch of farm boys around here that want to drink Busch light and cruise dirt roads.

Too many to list, and I've probably forgotten a bunch.
    Statistically false, actually.

But since you already decided to drink the Kool-Aid, I'm sorry you're stupid.

Refer to previous post. These are not made for the soul purpose of killing someone. Im not talking about banning all guns either. Cigarettes, pot, and alcohol are regulated just like guns should be.
