I paid $100 in cash for my front windows only at LA Tint in Sterling. All under the table (no paperwork) though because it was at 20%. I think they kind of messed up my driver's window trim because now the upper edge of my door (at the start of the window where the handle is) pops in and out about 1/8'' when I roll my window up and down. I don't really notice it anymore but I probably wouldn't recommend them if this happens a lot with their work.

They've done 2 of my vehicles plus my truck and have been wonderful AND cheaper than anywhere else I looked. I got mine done 20% all around too so they won't give you a receipt but they do a good job!

Who are your taking your truck to? I'm out of my 36k warranty but I have the platinum so maybe the dealer will help me out.

Had to be, it was only $400 for the bumper and sliders in matte black.

I went here for my tinting:
    http://www.nationalwindowtint.com/

I can't remember exactly what they used but it was $80 and they did it in less than an hour. Three years so far and no problems at all.

I've had good luck with Fairfax Ourisman in the past. They seem to actually want you to come back for more service. The Service Manager, Jeff is a cool guy that drives a lifted Tundra.

It's on Fullerton road, tween Costco and rolling road.

    Hope that helps

Matt, let me know when you want to come over to do the bumper. I'm usually available but sometimes I have to work and don't know until the last minute.

I would steer everyone away from extreme powdercoaiting in Lorton. I swear the big British? dude tries to get rid of business. From me experience and others, they're the worst. A buddy of mine recommended American Stripping company in Manassas. There are a few powdercoaters in Manassas so I assume the competition helps the customer.

I've had The Tint Shop in Woodbridge tint all of my vehicles. They do a good job and give you a receipt even with illegal tints. I paid $300 for my xtracab but that included the removal of some nasty purple tint.

At the dealership now getting blower motor replaced. They didnt question it and covered under platinum warranty. Thry even offered to give me a loaner. I asked how long it would take and they told me about an hour. I laughed and said ill just wait.

You should have tried to get a loaner Prius and "accidentally" push it off a cliff.

There's a local 4wd group that I know the founder of, used to be called beltway jeepers.. Well, they changed the name and have a lonely little Toyota section on their forum... Seems only a couple guys on that board have toy trucks.. We should invade some, PLUS they organize wheeling trips and other stuff.. Also have meet and greets of their own. Just figured I'd throw it up here in case anyone was interested.

    Beltway 4wd website.

I'm already registered. Gonna post in the Toyota section under suspension. Did my mods list, I really need pics of my rig!

Anyone else using the helper spring kit/ airbag Firestone kit?

I have had an issue with mine for a few months with leaky fill valves. The O ring inside (not a serviceable part) one of the shrader valve went bad. I would have to fill every day to maintain proper pressure in them.

People have been suggesting using the 1/4 IN OD Compression T fittings. Then there was a lot of back and forth about the bumps and pressure and uneven loads...

I decided to use that mod and went with an addition to it. I put one of these on EACH of the lines before the T valve then went to the single shrader fill valve.
    [IMG] [IMG][IMG][IMG]

HomeDepot had everything. The 1/4" OD PEX tubing they had in a 15' ice maker kit or as 25' roll. I grabed one of the 25' rolls and ram the line to the cab. Under the driverside through the underside rubber gromet into the cab, through the moulding, kick panel.

Under the dash near the OBDII connector on the fuse block mount, there is a hole. I used a UNI bit and widened it enough to thread the Shrader fill valve through it.

For now, it is all temporary.

I want to get the Air Tank Sliders and then I'll grab a pump, distro block, solenoid valves, ano of course gauges.

The OBA on my jeep we ran air line like you'd see at a mechanics shop and barbed fittings, our reasoning was that line was rubber with the heavy thread reinforcement.

Don't forget to use Teflon tape that is petrol rated so the oil you use in the pump doesn't disintegrate the tape.
