I just noticed that these emblems are not oval. Will they fit in the stock grill? Hope so....

Thanks! They come with an oval backplate that fits into the stock grillspot. This allows the emblem to sit flush into the stock grill.

Got mine today priority mail (Saturday). Nice heavy chunk of metal, powdercoating looks good. However, no way it fits my 2007 stock grill and I'll bet it won't fit yours either.

Which would make it a nice custom emblem. Unfortunately, there is no way these emblems will mount flush. In fact, they're considerably larger than the entire grillspot. So they can only sit on top, the kind of custom fit you would get if you cut something out and slapped it on over the stock emblem. Awesome.

The emblem also has nice integral studs that don't line up with any of the stock mounting holes. Unless you want to be unique and mount it upside down. Then the holes come close, but as they say unless it's horseshoes or hand-grenades, close is still no cigar.

To be fair the new oval backplate itself does fit into the stock grillspot (the holes still don't line up). Also being fair, I asked MetalMiller prior to ordering if the emblem would fit into the stock grill. I was assured it would and the photo samples show it sitting flush into the stock grill.

The reality is very different and disappointing, especially after waiting twice the stated production time. Bottom line, if you have a satoshi style grill then Bob's yer uncle. There's going to be a selection of colors with no waiting! I have a white one available...

So I had my wife bring the emblem that I JUST got in the mail and my nice camera. Took pics of it and will put them up when I get home. Not sure how I like it. Definitely does not fit flush by any means. I'm not sure if it will even work with Satoshi because the weight of the emblem.

Hey metal can you do a dark red powder coat? Mines impulse red, but a dark red would do fine and stand out. I'm over the black emblem on black satoshi. I need something that's gonna stand out! (but only in red)
