My belt is very squeaky when it is cold/raining. What is the best solution to make it stop squeaking?

Mine has been doing the same thing for the last two winters. I'll be replacing the belt soon.

Check to make sure the belt is tight enough.

Clean pulley surfaces and inspect the belt condition.

If the belt is old, it can get somewhat dry rotted /hardened and doesn't have the same grip (on the pulley) as it did when it was new.

I'm just going to change it. I am at 90,000 miles and that is when you get it replaced.

I agree... I've had nothing but bad luck with that in the past. I recommend getting a Good Year Gatorback belt. Best you can buy. Designed to quiet.

That is a good price, I paid about $36 from Amazon for my 4070834 Goodyear Gatorback belt.
