disagree. Keeps the truck more safe and you more safe. Gives you more control and make the truck way more capable.

You don't need power offroad. just gears.

And yes i do..i have open diffs now man..i know how to use the skinny pedal just fine thank you.

but ill be able to make 50-80more hp then your silly little SC will ever be able to put down. and be more efficient so ill be able to drive my truck on the highway and actually get good mileage.

And blow your motor with that extra 80 ponies:p haha. I like the turbo idea:) hopefully when I get around to boosting I can afford a turbo kits from one of the guys over on XR-U. I want to run a smaller turbo though. Spools faster and dont want to throw 10's of thousands of dollars into forged internals. 400 ponies will be plenty for my crawler. Haha.

Torspd knows of a shop trying to produce a sellable turbo kit like URD's S/C kit. It makes boost just as fast as trd and urd S/C and has more torque and hp through the entire power band than both of them :D I want it. Haha:) but I want a lot of other things more... like bigger tires:D my 33's slow me down... not enough clearance...

turbos are awesome. If you get the right size inducer wheel and the exducer with the right A/R ratio and exhaust setup, you can boost as fast as a SC no problem. But more power.

and no man the 5vzfe takes boost really well actually. don't have to change the internals at all below 400hp.

The 1gre is the same. Forged internals are recommended at 450+hp.

Yeah lock those diff and see how much power you still have. Oh and then put some real tires on. Not this 33" crap im not saying 35's are massive either but when i hit 44s that smooth applied low end power is gonna feel alot better than a bost spike that's gonna put down 80 more horse.

BTW my crank horse is estimated at 360 at the crank. At the wheels with 35's it's actaually 280 horse. 80 more horse:rolleyes: better look into those internals.

EDIT: i said off road rock crawling is the only time wheel speed is never needed. ever try to climb a snow or mud hill with duals?? i have you need that wheel speed and power is gonna do that for you. Basicaly a crawl box is not a cure all.

    Ofcourse you need it.

What gear ratio will you have when you SAS?

Granted I'm on skinny 33's, but my 4.0 with 4.88's has no issue spinning all 4 tires when needed in sand, snow, and mud so long as I am in 4lo anyway. haha. In sand my KM2's have so much grip when buried, that it would bog down the motor in 4Hi. Not sure how that would affect a manual, but my auto would sit at 2K and just slowly rotate the tires. Worked for getting me unstuck without burying myself deeper though:D In the deep snow, I just dug the snow out from under my tires so fast I high centered myself. haha. I stand by the fact that KM2's can fucking dig!

Im at 4.88 now and that is perfect gearing for my 35's (you are under geared) but when i sas im gearing to 5.33 thats perfect for 37's but im gonna be running 42's or 44's. so ill need that low end power to get the truck rolling on the road and then for off road ill have that 4 speed atlas. And remember you cant compare the 4.0 to the 3.4 as far as power goes.

I need to find someone local.with some 35's or bigger I could test fit to see how they run on my rig on road.

Edit: Since V6 2nd gens have 3.73's with 265/70R6's from the factory, it would take 40's to bring 4.88's back to factory rpms. haha

Locking diffs has nothing do do with power.

Running 35s with 4.88s should be the same as stock..so I'm not sure how your somehow loosing almost 100hp..

For snow and mid you'll be at high revs anyways so yes ill have the power for that.

Turbos don't give boost spikes..you obviously don't know much about turbos. And that's okay. You went the easy route with a SC. Nothing wrong with that, it's simple to do.

Turbos are better if done right. Period. I don't give a fuck what you think man. I also don't give a fuck about your truck and SAS and shit. I don't think wheeling with someone you thinks breaking cvs is cool would be enjoyable.

So, with that, you are now n my ignore list. Congrats. Your the first one!
