So anyway it is a beautiful Saturday morning and I decide that it is a great day to detail my taco. I finish waxing it and a whole bunch of storm clouds slide in and open up on my hard work. Majorly pissed off. Anyway here are a couple pics of my clean truck. Its stock, but I will be doing my first mod on Tues, adding some nerf bars. Then I want to paint the rims and grill black, and eventually do BHLM's.

I want to paint these black until I can afford new wheels and tires.

I washed, clay bared, and waxed my wife's ride yesterday and the same thing happened. Oh well.

    Nice looking truck.

Well since you waxed it, all the little dirt and debris should come off fairly easily with a soft cloth.

yeah, now you can find out how well you waxed your truck. it shouldn't be that big of a deal since all the rain should be beading up :)

Yeah I shouldn't have been surprised. The rain beaded up pretty good, so it shouldn't be too hard to get it cleaned up again.

Sorry to hear about that. I could only imagine that hours of your life were just wasted away, BUT you know as well as all of us that our trucks look good dirty too and that the time spent cleaning her is really not time wasted, but time well spent. :D It looks good either way. All the more reason to go out and find a mud puddle!!! Got to look for the positive in the rain. It means MUD! Lucky!!!!

I know you can get just the clay bars on line - autogeek.net is one place. I haven't seen them in stores.

Thanks for the info. I didn't even know what clay baring was until I checked out the website. I'll have to try it and see how the paint comes out.

Don't feel to bad, I Zaino'ed the wife's truck at my neighbors house using her garage, spent 6-7 hours wash, clay bar, wash, and 3 coats Zaino. It stayed dry for 30 minutes just long enough for my wife to seen truck immaculate. I reside myself to the fact that the paint is protected.
