Let's See Your Dogs!!

some of you saw it in live. but my best friend(also fellow yoda owner, of a FJ TT) had got GSD about a year ago. well very sad to say he got ran over yesterday morning chasing a deer. Here is a pic i stitched together with an app. few of him as a puppy and one of him laying on his new doggy bed that was taken about 3 weeks go. going to miss the big guy 120lbs, H may have been a pretty lazy and awkward dog but he was a awesome dog! most the time when i would go to my buddys he would come to me and hit is head on my truck door when i was getting out.

 

That just tears me up. Very sad thing to have happen.

 

yeah! Even more sad that he was gargling and had blood in his lungs. sad but my buddies dad shot him. They did not want him to suffer any longer and it would have taken 20 min or so to get to the vet they use. Probably was not much they could have done with blood in the lungs and coming out his mouth, also he could not move his back legs or anything.


Now i don’t believe in just shooting a dog, but when stuff like that happens i feel it is best for the dog to just end it as soon as posable. Especially when it looks like the dog has a broken back and bleeding out of the mouth. if they could do anything it would prob be 8 or $10k If the dog is just sick or really old i think taking them to the vet and having them put down is best.

Probably a good call; sad as it is, he's not suffering anymore.

 

yeah it is. i could not stand to see my dog suffer all the way to the vet if i thought that there was nothing that could be done.

Still missing the big puppy!

 

Would hate to have to put my boy down, put my first dog ever down when I was 19, dad called my college coach and he stopped practice and took me too the side and said my dad called him and that I needed to go home cause my dog needed to be put down, talk about the longest 30 min drive home, probably one of the worst days of my life, I miss that guy.

 

My best friend in the world died last night after 11 awesome years...sad days to come. He will be missed

 

I am so "sorry" and I hope you will remember only the good times with him. Be thankful that your best friend was sent to you by someone who knew you would love and take care of him for his lifetime...

The sorrow will go away in time the piece of your heart will heal but your best friend will always and I mean always be there.
