    :taco: for super white!

But if kase helps, you have to bring s bag of skittles! Cause he can't drink.

So the guy "joe" broke the bolt while trying to take the o2 out? Then said you have the wrong ones? Have to tap the broken one out. Now fun, but gets it done. You could take off the heat shield if it's the only thing that rattles

its a metal locking. the nut its not cracking. at the tip of the nut it is split to allow it to expand since the diameter of the nut at the tip is the same size of the bolt , stud its designed to to fasten to.

just tighten the nut down for now and it should not rattle. on those type of nuts you should be able to tighten them down by finger and first then when it gets close to the split you should have to use a wrench with some resistance to turn it the rest of the way. if you c an turn by hand all the way down then you need to replace the nut. the other side is a bolt if i remember right. its a small half inch bolt in length. i would take the nut off and go to lowes or orielly and just get new hardware. the size will be a fine pitch maybe a m8x 1.0 0r its a m8x1.25. i think. you can also by some high temp red rtv and apply a then 1/8 bead underneath the flange around the edge if the gasket there is not going to be replaced. the dealer ship would at least have right size if you have near you. when you be after market bolts lots of times the head of the bolt is a bigger size than the original one so instead of just needing a 10,12,and 14mm wrench to do must of the work you'll need a 10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17, mm wrench. due to the aftermarket ones not being reduce head bolts/nuts. but it really is no biggy. just your preference

I like Ace hardware or small local hardware stores (Do It Best, etc) for bolt and nut selection. They have the harder to find pieces.

nah it would just vibrate out and fall onto the ground. the exhaust constantly heats and cools down. so every thing expands and contracts. so after time the locking nut will become loose. and the bolt will do the same the metals are different so the expand and contract at different rates. and theres a whole lot of shaken going on down there [IMG]

I dont think it'd fall into the exhaust. If the guy broke it, the bolt below the break is probably welded into place.

Not the first time it's happened. Hose clamp it, or use bailing wire:
    You are confusing.
