Thanks for the info Susan. I talked to the wife about the Sleep number at dinner tonight and she did not say no. I laid it all out for her including the pricing.

The pricing is not too bad compared to other top coil spring mattresses.

I have a decent quote for the CSE with the Flex Fit frame and a memory foam topper.

    http://www.sleepnumber.com/eng/products/sleep-number-beds/classic-series/cse/cse?cse

Current offer is $500 off on the CSE. The memory foam was to die for but cost almost $1300 more. This is a pretty decent set up. I really liked the Flex Fit frame.

I was out shopping for new beds yeaterday. The Tempurpedic was nice but really pricy. I just felt more comfortable in the Sleep Number.

    Evening all:
I can't seem to get more than 10 yrs out of a mattress before they lose their firmness, and I don't buy cheap ones. As a matter of fact I'm due for a new one. Last one was XXfirm!

I know Carl. And decent ones are really expensive. I tried a lot of the coil spring beds but the Sleep Number was just a lot more comfortable with a lot of support for my spine.

You owe it to yourself to check them out. I told the wife she needs to go in and try the Sleep Number. I will take her there. ;)

Get something you will be comfortable on.... One thing about the sleep number, is you can both adjust your own side.

Yup. My Sleep Number was 65. :anonymous:

Gots to get some sleep now. Had a really bad cheat day dinner. Need to do an hour on the tredmill tomorrow.

On a really positive not, I helped the Student Council at my son's school paint clouds on a blue border in the Library. The kids did all the work I provided the paint, sponges, brushes, cheese cloth and anything else. They knocked it out in 2 hours while doing a bang up job. The students were in 4th through 8th grade.

The Librarian and the Principal loved the work.

    afternoon all:
Strange about the talk on mattresses. I could sleep very well, and was comfortable, on the 3" horsehair mattress, or whatever was inside it, that was on top of the metal racks while in the navy.
I don't think there's anything like that available at any mattress store though. Maby too cheap, and not enough profit!

Nope. No need to go into the mad house of DC today.

I do have a few errands to run today and my lower back is in some pain. Started to act up yesterday and just kept getting worse.

Feels better after a half hour of streaching and now on to a warm shower. ;)

Seems like there's some truth in that! :(
Just got back from a clock repair shop. Took my old coo-coo clock off the wall to clean, and when I put it back up it wouldn't run. ??????
Two months wait, and "ONLY" $225.00 to clean and get it back in working order!
Same guy got it working 25 yrs. ago, so hopefully it will go for another 25 yrs. before it has to be gone over again.
Don't think either he or I will be around by then!

Why so long?? think I had mine within a week. Put together by myself. Would be easier with a second pair of hands, though.

I did not ask. The kid on the phone would not know anyhow. I am going to talk to the sales lady tomorrow.

I sure could use the bed tonight.

Hope you get it sooner rather than later... I know the "needing" a good bed feeling.
