    You have to take your cb out. The bottom part is the worst. With the two cig lighters it's a pain.

    Honestly after putting one in an 04 I couldnt believe how much more of a pain in the ass it was to take apart compared to mine.

    Nah that's pretty easy. Just pull the knobs and then pop off the cover. There are two screw at hold on the molding behind the cover. One on the passenger side right in between the two other screw that hold in the controls. Then on up in the drivers side in the top at an angle.

    Then on down below. Then a bunch if wires to undo and then your done.

    Easier said then done but shouldn't take more then 10 mins.

    Or I could do it for you this summer :p take me about an hour to do the wiring and everything all soldered :D

    But I'm sure you and mark can do it.

    Wiring is quite simple. If you buy the right harness it's pretty much just matching wires. Only 11 wires I think.

    Not worth paying someone IMO. Not unless your adding amps speakers and a sub.

    There are actually two harnesses in the package. It is makered Toyota 1987 and up. I'm hoping I got the right one. One harness has 10 wires (9 + 1 looped back into the plug) and the other 5 wires. The harness in the box with the HU has 13 wires :eek:

    Harness on the left is mostly speaker wires. Orange wire isn't used.

    Right harness has other speaker wires, power wire,n ignition wire, ground wire. You won't use the blues wire.

    Also check out how to solder. Don't pull a Ben and solder with the harnesses connected to anything haha and getting a nice clean solder is very important.

    Then the solder should always be shiney like this. To accomplish this you heat the wire. That's the key. You always heat the part you want to solder then you touch the solder to it. You don't want the solder to fall onto something cold. If its a pale gray it's what else call a cold solder and is very brittle.

    Then you can either heat shrink it or just wrap with e tape
