    Found out it's a bad idea to leave a macbook pro out in your car all day when the temp is about 5 degrees F. Totally forgot about it. But SSD for the win.

    if that ever happens again take out battery and do not turn on until reaches room temp. when something is in that temp and is brought into a warm room, it forms condensatin as it warms up and when running can damage electronics. thats reason for take out batter, and do power drain ( hit power up button with battery out)

    Can't remove the battery on these. I'll know if it's damaged tomorrow but I tried turning it on and it didn't do anything so I plugged in the power cord. Then it tried to boot up and failed like 15 times and kept power cycling. Finally it boot up and popped up with a message that my clock has been reset to a time before 2008 and it could cause issues with stuff. It showed the battery life was still at 93% when it finally booted up.

    It's a $3400 computer so I hope it survives. I have full coverage insurance on it though if parts fail.

    Full coverage insurance was definitely a good plan, warrantee wont help when you fry electronics in the cold..

    Ask the Canadian how he knows.
