I wanted to try the K&N Cold Air intake so I bought one. Can't have them both so I am going to sell the TRD. The only thing someone would have to do is probably clean the air filter

They both seem to work well.. The TRD is not as loud. the chrome on the K & N looks good and I think the throttle response is a little quicker.I like the sound it makes too.
On the TRD air box, it is enclosed which keeps out the engine heat better. You can tell that there is better throttle response on both.
    i just like the chrome!

you can go online and find a TRD airfilter cleaning kit. The filter I have now isn't that dirty. I only have 24,000 miles on my Tacoma and I installed the CAI at about 15,000 miles. You will need to get a cleaning kit sooner or later.
You can send me a check from your bank. I can ship it UPS. Send me a private message with your email address
If you want to keep giving your Toyota the superior protection and performance it receives from the TRD reusable air filter then it’s best to clean it with the TRD air filter cleaning kit every 30,000 to 50,000 miles. Though you might clean your air filter sooner if you live in a dusty area or drive on dirt or gravel roads, you still want to use the TRD air filter cleaning kit. Here is a link to one site I found
