    Today is wind gusts and black ice, not alot of snow. Subzero wind chills too.

    I'm waiting to hear from my daughter. She left for college today with her dog and a friend. Lots of curvey, hilly roads and a lack of phone coverage make for a little worry.:eek: No classes tomorrow so it's a party night.:D

    She's at Alfred U. on the southern tier of NY. Hornell and Almond are nearby. It's not much more than an hour drive, but quite rural, dark, icy roads... you know, scary for a parent. She is smart and prepared. I've passed on some paranoia to he:)r. Blankets, parka, knife and a flashlight are always on hand.:D
