The G19 was on my list along with the S&W M&P compact 9mm and the XDM compact 9mm. With supplies being in demand I was limited in my selection but from what I had researched Glocks aren't the prettiest but they are reliable.

I figured it would be better for longer distance.

    Energy man.

Accuracy at "handgun distance" is not impacted that much once you get above a snubbie, but the longer barrel holds the gas charge behind the round longer. Same bullet fired from a longer barrel will generally have more energy than one fired from a shorter barrel.

There are ways to compensate though. I run heavier rounds in my snubbie. The slower acceleration of the heavier round has the same effect as a longer barrel, so my 2.5 doesn't lose much velocity over a 4".

I just ordered myself a .357 barrel from Midway USA since they had them in stock. Thanks for the info!

I took it out for the first time yesterday and shot about 120 rounds out of it. I love it!

Nice the cool thing is when you cant find 40cal a lot of the times 357 sig is in stock because a lot of people dont carry/shoot that caliber...and the 9mm barrel comes in handy because its way cheaper to plink in 9mm

The .357 SiG round is addictive. Great ballistics and very little bullet drop. Plus when you fire one on a firing line, people will turn and look to see what made all that noise with such a nice fireball. Only downside it the cost of the rounds.
