I've seen the part online, doesn't it cost about $50? Or maybe there's another way I am not aware of..

So true. The factory speakers in almost any vehicle aren't great, but the right headunit can make them sound decent in most cases. Since our stock radios only have bass and treble adjustments, really can't do much to improve the sound. I temporarily have my stock unit back in, and it sounds like crap compared to my Pioneer. I am glad my stock unit's backlighting doesn't dim and flicker with the music like I see a lot of stock radios do.

Checking in from Kittery. It's really windy. I engaged 4WD to help stabilize my truck against the gusts. I'm getting a decently bad vibration in 4WD. I think I need to change my diff fluid ASAP. I might have a milkshake :(

Weather is good other than the wind.

    Back to the road!

Love my Pioneer DD. Bought it off Amazon for cheaper than I could get it off ebay

That got a little sketchy real quick. Rob did an awesome job spotting which kept me from tearing off my side steps. Next time I go back there, those steps are coming off first. Also, might install the billes sooner than later.

Too bad noone grabbed a picture

You don't need 4wd in the wind one bare ass highway. That's a waste of gas and won't do anything.

x2, do not use 4wd on dry pavement (or in the rain). If you feel you need 4wd in either situation, you're going too fast.

If the winds pushing you around, push back. You don't want to be a passenger in a driverless vehicle. Also like they said, don't ever engage 4wd on pavement, vibrating was probably from binding.

Max was 80 on downhill sections, but most of the time was ~65

The thing is, it's ok for 4Runners to use 4WD on dry pavement. Tacomas can't, but my manual says I can.

I use 4wd to keep the wheel from having so much play. I need an alignment or different UCA's

    That's ok for full-time 4wd 4Runners, not for part-time 4wd.

Your transfer case has clutch packs in it?!?! Are you AWD or full time 4wd?

The Toyota website says driving in 4HI with the center diff unlocked is ok for the V6 4WD. I had the same curiosity so I researched it. If I lock the center diff, that's a different story.

I'm loving the look of the satoshi with my Hellas behind it. Can't wait to hook up the 4" XT's behind either the satoshi or my lower grille. Not sure yet.

Ah, wasn't aware you had a center differential. Damn, grocery getters are getting pretty high tech these days :boink:
