x2. He needs the feed back on the forum. Check with the Mods too. I know on Supraforums when i was on there a lot they would keep tabs on scammers and had a list of them you could check.

He's got over 300 positive feedbacks on the Heatware Feeback thing, most of them are for AnandTech BBS forum. Seems like computer stuff from what I gathered.

It has his username for POTN, and Fred Miranda, that's the two forums I recognized, but didn't see any feedback from either, just the AnandTech forum.

Whew, thats a relief. I was planning on going Paypal and was wondering what their policy was on that if you were to get screwed.

I looked on POTN. He has a total of 50something posts. Mostly FS. Many of the posts in other parts of the forum are kinda weak posts.

His feedback is 100% positive on that heatwave thing but most of that seems to be computer stuff.

I'm guessing he buys stuff and flips it. As long as the price is right and you have confidence, good luck!

Yea man. I have been on both sides of the stick. Filing the claim and getting on filed on(lost package). Paypal will help you.

    Perhaps indeed :spy:

That's kinda the vibe I got that he was a flipper. The package is a 7D and a Sigma 30mm 1.4 for $1150, so it's a relatively good deal.

    That makes me feel better!

BTW, we don't tolerate the scammers. We ban them and we encourage members to leave feedback for sellers (and conversely, for buyers-cause not all buyers are legit either).

Anyway, if you chose paypal, make sure you pay via a credit card. That's an additional measure of protection.

POTN seems to do a good job on that. I haven't seen very many over there. I was thinking about using my credit card, and now that you said that, I will make sure to use it instead of my bank account.
