This happens randomly, As for example I'll be on TW and streaming music and the screen goes black then everything comes back. When it's back everything is fine and normal till it happens again. I don't know anything about computers so hopefully one can assist me.

    Two things:

See if you can update the video driver for your Window PC

    or

Check the power settings for your PC

Go to CONTROL PANEL and POWER OPTIONS and check either when to turn off your display

You may want to try to figure out how long your screen will go BLANK after it recovers...

That looks like windows 7, why a Vista driver? Try to update your display driver via the manufacturers website.

i had this problem with my XPS laptop too.. you need to upgrade the dell video drivers, AND the NVDIA drivers if you have the NVDIA videocard. its easy. hold on ill post a link to the support site..

    http://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19?c=us&s=dhs&cs=19&l=en'

go there, put your service tag in, it should be on a sticker on the bottom the laptop, labeled service tag. then once you enter it, go to drivers, and download the video driver for it/install it.

Assuming you have on board graphics, if it's Dell try their website. You could also grab the driver from Intel.

Do you have any windows updates available? Sometimes they can show up in there as well.

Also, look under Display Settings > Advanced Settings > Properties > Driver .. then click "update driver" see if it finds an update there.

I would grab all of those except the last 2 (unless you want them) were you able to see a driver update available from the display settings?

My directions were from Vista, below is a video from youtube for 7..
