I bought a set of BfGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 LT245/75R16, part number 13290, for my 2013 tacoma. I have the Rugged Trail that came from factory which are 400 treadwear. I am thinking on mounting on other wheels to use just for off road, or just repalace on the stock wheels.

My concern is that using the Mud-Terrain tires on dayly drinving they wear very fast. I can't found the treadwear on the new tires, don't know if they have one.

Any of you that knows the treadwear or how the mud-terrain will wear vs the rugged trail. I know that a lot of you doesn't like the rugged trail but that isn't the theme hear. Is the wear of the tires.

    P.S.
How good or bad are those mud-terrain? I know the price I paid for them is more than the best price. Please say a reasonable price $$$ for the set (4), then I will tell how much I paid.

I know a few people down in FL who run them on different rims just for hunting season which is sep to jan and they get about 4-5 years out of them. I personally have never ran them though, too expensive for my taste.

LT265/75R16 are lowd range E tires...they will last you forever. I have a friend that has 30,000 of street driving on his down here in Florida and they look fine.

I'd guess they'd last as long as my load range d all terrains...50,000-60,000 miles no prob...

Discount has them for 285 a piece when I bought my Mickeys for 170 each out the door. Don't get me wrong I like BFG M/T, I just don't have that kind of money to put into tires. The people I know who have them love them.

theyre good tires but do clean out very well in mud. if you get them keep them rotated and check balance often or the fronts will start scalloping. i would personallly pick a mud tire with more space between tread. just my 2 cents.

    Correction: the size is LT245/75R16

What means "class E"? How I can compare with the 400 treadwear of the stock tires? They are good or too bad on the street?

    I put around 15k on my KM2's
there was already about 20k on them

and they still had 50/60% tread left.

They wear pretty great for a mud terrain

all mud terrains suck when it comes to wet-road traction; some are better than others- the Km2 is right in the middle

I'd say "average" for wet-road traction, "good" for dry roads

Mine are perfect in any kind of condition...except snow, never been in that
But probably mine handle so well cause theyre 12.5 iches wide and stick out quite abit from the fenders so I have a wider trac i guess you could say

    Factory tires are passenger tires.

Truck tires and mud terrains are usually LT (Light Truck) tires. LT tires are rated for more or less weight...more Ply's, the more weight a tire can handle, and the slower they will wear...

    Load Range Ply Rating
    A 2
    B 4
    C 6
    D 8
    E 10
    F 12
    G 14
    H 16

I found them to be an all-around good tire on mud, snow, wet roads, etc... but not a great tire on anything either - got 80k but wore them down to nothing, the last 20k they shoul have come off but it was summer

Bought a set of 16" wheels with the stock tire pressure sensors for to mount the tires. Is there any other form for programing the sensors?
