I was thinking about doing the part swap as well. I need to get it broke in more to it disassembles easier before I do anything. And yes, I was aware of the PacLite uppers and another background check. Reality has it, I will leave it the way it is and just continue to enjoy it.

If y'all were in my position, I currently have no handguns and I'm wanting to get one.

What I've narrowed it down to
    Sig p250 9mm
    Sig 1911 22lr
    Or s&w mp22

Wanting a .22lr just for plinking, ammo is cheap as hell, start learning the handgun platform, haven't shot them very much

9mm because ammo is cheapish at the range, use it as self defense gun

I need a revolver for bear country. If anyone sees any good deals on something like a 4" 44 Mag, let me know. Hopefully I can get a good deal out of it by trading my extra AR lower toward it.

I do currently have 1200 rounds of .22lr

I would have to buy 9mm one box at a time at academy or back order some

M&P.22 is a great gun. runs super good for .22 and since you already have the ammo. Then you could grab something else once this crazyness dies down. 9mm 45acp or whatever.

    I just snagged a CZ75BD "Police" 9mm

my mag would hardly drop in mine for the first lil while. but now after 500 rounds it seems its fitting like it should as well as the rest of the gun. became alot easier to take apart

It's registered as a Single Shot Exempt Pistol in CA. Contemplating selling the PAP and the Ducati 999 it is on to go to the SuperBowl. Trying to get tickets right now...

9mm is a good all around round….. IMO .22 are much more fun to shoot out of a rifle than a pistol…. although 9mm have minimal recoil vs bigger caliber pistols I kind of like the little kick i dont get on my .22

as far as price go… im in NJ but i get my ammo in PA and i have gotten 50rnd boxes of 9mm for as low as $10.50 and im sure that if one was to get the whole box you would get better price…. I would also think that in friendlier-gun-states its even better prices

dont get me wrong… Its fun to shoot .22 but it does get a little boring after a while specialy shooting @ small indoor ranges…

the M&P .22 piston is really nice for its 15-22 if you are considering a rifle….. take into consideration a 9mm that would take a .22 conversion….
    good luck

here is a question for every one…..
I put an order for a Colt MT6400r from a direct colt dealer (atlantic tactical) back on Jan 4th, and its paid in full. As we all know issue number one is that all AR style or similar platforms are back order everywhere and 2nd issue is that the dealer has to wait for a NJ compliant version of it which i would believe its a much smaller production…

from what all you gun guys have heard… what do you think are my chances?

Don't know what's gonna happen if they will still let them get their orders out or what. But I imagine that it will go into effect at a later time to give companies time to complete orders.

^ this or maybe a Mosquito to suppress at some point for me. Cabela's had a case of Federal 525 packs yesterday so I bought an extra...puts me over 3000rds of .22 in the safe. It was f'ing $26 though  Used to be able to get them for $15-18 around here.

I looked at the Mosquito when I was buying my .22 pistol and the shop told me it can be very picky about ammo. I ended up with a Ruger SR22 and am happy with it.

Yeah, I've heard that as well. I will buy a .22 pistol at some point though so I can swap around a suppressor with my 15-22. But then I foresee never wanting to shoot without one so I'll have to buy two Sparrows :pout: #firstworldproblems

X2 on hearing the mosquitos are picky. They run better on higher velocity ammo from what I hear. Anything under 1400fps has trouble cycling

my buckmark didnt like the winchester super x but it ran CCI mini mag and remington cyclone 100%. That remington is suppose to be crap ammo too...haha. My next outing Ill see how it likes federal bulk pack and rem golden bullets.

Considering 100% of my .22 ammo is Federal 525 packs, I want the proverbial trash-compactor model that will take any and everything...I haven't take the time or made the effort outside of my ARs to figure out what that would be. Money's good right now, but I'm getting married next November  Maybe I need to buy it now before I have start getting purchase approval from The Boss :notsure: :drevil:
