    Have fun my friend.

My chicks family has a place right next to Louies Back yard. We usually stay there and watch the fun from the balcony.

If you want something cheap to shoot get a 22. If you are looking for self protection get a 45.

My two cents; take it or not. Yes; there are thousands of test that prove that a 9mm has the ability in the right circumstance to expand to .45 in size. There has never been a test that showed any single situation where a .45ACP shrank to 9mm in any circumstance. Ever.

    It's more expensive correct?

I'd buy the big stuff if you have the monies for it now.

Also I'd be more willing to buy the home defense gun now as you have a 22 long rifle and home made bottle rocket cannon to mess with in the backyard.

Its primary use won't be home defense. My AR15 loaded with varmint grenades will do that. I don't want to break the bank every trip to the range either. I can't afford to shoot 2 guns that are 30+ cents a round. I'm sticking to 9mm.

Plus in don't care who you are, after getting shot once or raise with a 9mm your not gonna be able to keep going

Ya its $100 more. I was gonna order 5000 rounds of .22lr and didn't want only one gun to shoot it with

While I will tip my hat to your years of ballistics study and hands-on experience; 5.56 is NOT a good home defense round. Ever hear of over penetration? 5.56 is better at short to medium range engagements; not across the room shooting. If you are looking for "home defense" then get a pistol or better yet a shotgun.

As for "getting shot once or twice with a 9mm your not gonna be able to keep going" there are years and years of police and military engagements that show this is complete and total bullshit. There is no pistol caliber that is going to stop somebody with one shot every time. I know you can find an example where Person A shot Person B with a .380 and Person B dropped dead in their shadow. That is called an "exception" and not to be used for making sound decisions. Sound decision making requires that you use common examples.

As a personal example; I have carried the AR on three continents and do not have one for home defense for a reason. I qualified as a rifle and pistol expert in the Marine Corps; so let's not try the "you don't know how to use it" argument. The 5.56 round is not a round to be used in room-to-room engagement when you care about the people that may/may not be beyond the target. Period. That is one reason a lot of SWAT departments use pistol caliber automatics. They have a high rate of fire, easier to control, and less chance of over penetration.
