Rousch creek or get a permit for reading antracite both are about 1 1/2 hour from ya but well worth it and cheaper than getting a ticket from the state

If there is a gate, sign or a simple rope across, keep your truck out of there. Do all of us fellow outdoor/off road enthusiasts a favor and don't take your truck off roading in a state park or state game lands. For fuck-sake, have some respect man. That kinda shit is why places are getting fewer and fewer.

I never said I drove anywhere I wasn't supposed to, I just said there's no one there to stop you. I've been back there hunting plenty of times while some a-hole comes ripping by on an atv and scares every deer within 3 miles- it sucks. There are fire roads that are open/closed seasonally, I guess once deer season is over they open the gates up so you can get back there.

That's what I'm talking about! How is it up there? Never been. A few of my friends used to go up there to ride dirt bikes and they used to have a blast. I was never really sure if it was actually legal or if it's just like there's nobody up there to care, so I never wanted to roll the dice.

How about Wharton State Forest? I go on motorycle rides a couple times a year with a bike club, but have never off roaded. I think it's like the game lands, it's legal as long as you stay on the access roads.

What's the range like there? Keep meaning to check it out so I can use my .22 somewhere besides BC.

We go on camping/kayaking/wheeling trips there several times a year. Keep an eye out for trips to be posted in the North East region forum. And check in the NJ Taco's thread. Careful about throwing that name around though, Mr. XXXX is very paranoid and is scurred of his eco-nazi stalker so we don't mention the area by name. ;)

Never heard of it, but that sure looks like fun! My current ride is not really a dual sport, but hopefully in the spring I'm gonna be getting something street legal so I can ride the pine barrens. Where is lock haven, anyway?

What's the riding like at Centralia? My truck is brand new and totally stock so I'm not looking to get into anything too serious that's mess it up or get it stuck, just some easy off roading to "get it out of my system" lol.
I actually just got my Delaware surf fishing permit to drive on the beaches, so I'm dying to hit up that up, but it's just too damn cold to fish right now.

Some have been known to strap a fake headlight and fake plate on and ride the weekend. If you're into just a fun trail ride you need to come to this one. 200 miles in 2 days, good food, great trails. 500+ riders every year. Usually KTM or Husqvarna bring a factory truck and have demo rides. You come once you'll come back again. Well worth the trip to come spend the weekend.

You're making it sound better and better! My current ride is a 75 Yamaha DT125, which was street legal at some point but I have no title for it now. I used to live next to a tree farm where I had permission to ride, so it was never a problem. But those days are gone, I live in major suburbia now so the DT just sits... it has a headlight and tail light, and I have an antique plate from another bike... I've rolled the dice on that a couple times, but I try not to make a habit out of it. Actually I know a lot of guys who do that (one actually is a cop), and have been for years without issue.

It's not bad. Concrete tables and benches with hard rubber mats attached to them, no shelters, there are 50 and 100 yd targets, and you bring your own targets or just shoot at what they got. The requirement is to have a range permit, hunting license, or fur takers license, but I haven't ever seen any one check. The big thing is you can't have more than 3 rounds in a mag at a time. I imagine because some dumb ass ruined it for everyone by tearing up the place.
