I'm glad to see you're so nonchalant (sp) about this, but you really cut me deep Mark. i had plans for us. First i was gonna beat you up, then i was gonna back your truck into a tree (thats my specialty) and then i was gonna pee on you. of course i was gonna post pics of the whole ordeal on TW as a warning for all other Texans to stay out of my states. I was gonna make an example out of you, but now i dont know who to make an example out of.... you were the only one from texas or Canada foolish enough to come hang out with me....

Well, hell! Now I have to go. I haven't had a flogging like that since grade school (minus the truck of course). :p

    CRAP!!!

I can't get the 4Runner for "an undisclosed reason". Since the price of half cuts is going up so much, I decided to stick to what I love -
    MY TACOMA!!!

    :D

Only difference is that now I am going to go all out. I am getting a 2008 Tacoma White, SR5, Double Cab, Short Bed, 6 speed manual, 4WD, and (as soon as I can afford it) a 2.8L CRD Turbo Diesel engine. That's right - I am not giving up.

Only bad news - I don't get to keep my tonneau cover... DAMN.

I will let you guys know how it goes.

    Cheers!

I promise it will be fun. i'll let you get drunk before i do all that so it wont be as bad :)

alright.... Mark..... come on..... are you serious? again? I have never seen anybody flip so many times. i'm selling my Taco, i'm keeping my Taco, i'm selling my taco... Jesus Man!!! We cant take this anymore. Your friends here at TW cant keep up with you on this roller coaster ride. Thats why its time...... for an intervention. Mark, this is your official TW intervention.....

STOP JERKING US AROUND YOU STUPID TEXAS JACKASS!!!! There, that was your intervention (i should have pursued a career in counseling).

Ok, so you've told us what you're gonna get. have you found the truck yet? are you working on getting it? or is this just something you want and a week from now you're gonna tell us that you donw want it anymore and your gonna stick with your old taco?

BTW i forgot to ask. what does "an undisclosed reason" mean? Also, what the hell are half cuts and what does the price of htem have to do with anything?

and the most important question.... does this mean your gonna be able to make the meet now? BTW, ignore everything i said about crashing yoru truck and peeing on you. that probably wont happen ;)

Yeah, I found the truck (sorta). It is on its way to the dealership. They won't have it till next week. They are going to give me decent money for my PreRunner, so its all good. I was originally going to get a silver one, but as I was debating it somebody else snatched it. Apparently 6 speeds aren't carried in stock down here, but when they get them - they go fast.
    :burnrubber:

"Undisclosed reason" basically means that I was expecting a big check from the Federal Government, and instead I got a big *&?% in the @$?. So, I couldn't afford to do that conversion (it costs more because it is very involved as far as wiring and mechanics go).

A half-cut is a vehicle from Japan that has been cut in half so that you retain not only the engine and transmission, but all the parts and electronics to do an engine swap to a vehicle that was not necessarily made for the new engine. The engine that I was going to put in the 4Runner was a half-cut from Japan. Unfortunately two things are working against getting another one. One thing is that the EPA is trying to stop half-cuts from coming to the states as they are not regulated and may be hazardous to the environment. The second thing is that the US Dollar is tanking - big time. So, anything that you import from another country is about to get very expensive - including half-cuts (which are already $4000+).

The CRD conversion is cheaper mostly because the engines are already available here in the states. :D

After owning a Jeep Liberty for 3 months (only 3 weeks of which it was driveable), if you see some one claiming to be me and driving a Chrysler product - SHOOT THEM! They are an imposter!!! :fenforcer:

Well that sucks. But at least we won't have to ban you for not having a tacoma! :D

Not to mention you'll have more cargo space with a diesel tacoma instead of the 4R.

Yeah, I just loved how that 4Runner drove... It was so smooth. I have always wanted one of those things, but I never got one. Now I guess I never will.

Oh well, the Tacoma is better!

here's the deal. get your DC taco, then when you have money (way down the road) get a bad ass Cruiser like the one i was looking at. that think kicks a 4runners ass anyday. plus the inline 6 will be awesome untill you can put a diesel in it. see, i'm full of great ideas
