The only thing stopping me from doing this mod is the A/C controls. If they were as easy to change as the gauges and radio I would be interested in this mod.

The LEDs were backwards, but I fixed that problem, My spedometer wont stay at 0 and my gas is messed up, how do I fix that stuff? Does it have to get reset somehow?

you should of taken a picture of the dash to see where the needles rest with the truck turned off before you took the needles off. To me it sounds like the little spindles that the needles goes on got rotated and you are just sticking the needles on without making sure the metal spindles are all the way counterclockwise. If you put the needle on just a little bit, you will see that if you keep turning the needle counterclockwise it will eventually come to a spot where it stops. That is where you need to put the needle on all the way with it facing zero or where it was when you first took it off. Hope that makes sense.

Just for reference, here is a picture of my dash before I took it apart, so that way you can see where you should be the needles on when turn the little metal spindle counterclockwise until it hits its stop point.

you dont need to fill it up to get the gas guage right. If you set it to the position that it shows in the picture I posted you will be back at the stock positions for the needles. You are just sticking the needles on the metal pins without making sure that the metal pins are turned all the way to their respective zero position.

Thanks, I think I finally got them in the right position. This mod was easy but turned into a pain once this was messed up.

Here is the installation, going to continue to mod it with white LEDs under the LCD screen and the needles, also where can I find the blue LEDs to change the clock?

:confused:Ok screw this! I have never had any problem with a mod before but this is not turing out too well right now. I spent a few hours on it today but no luck. I got the lights that light up the needles and the odometer to work. I'm a jackass so I didnt realize the lights eletrical flow only traveled one way through the lights. Anyways at this point I cant figure out how to get the lights that illuminate the rest of the cluster to work. I believe I have them going the correct direction. At this point I have saudered on and off one light so many times that the little metal platform on the board has come off! F- me. Any suggestions guys????? I truly feel like a jack-ass! This type of crap dosent normally happen to me...... :boom:

I wonder how much a new gauge cluster is?:notsure:
You could buy a new one and use your old one to practice on.
    Probably lot of money tho!
