Me too. The snow here is terrible for riding my sled so i'd just as soon be riding my dirtbike. Gonna sell my sled this spring anyway and maybe some of that cash could go towards setting my bike up better for freeriding aka fmx setup. :spy:

I'm debating on mounting my cb antenna here, or on the tailgate. Do you take yours off often? I know I'll only keep mine on while I'm wheeling. I've got all components necessary to set up, besides antenna mount.

Do you take yours off often & what do you do when you wash your vehicle??

I've got a 4', is that what you have as well??

Eh to me it's not a big deal where it's mounted, like you mentioned i only put mine on when i'm going wheeling or convoying to the mountain etc.. The main problem is i work in a parking structure with 6'10 clearance so it just smacks back and forth. So i just unscrew it, and i put electrical tape over the mounting hole to keep water out. As far as what i do when i wash my truck, i just wash it ;) The antenna makes no difference, unless your referring to an auto wash (Never been through one).
    O and mine is a 5' Antenna.

i put mine right in the door jam and run the wire through the door jam doesnt crush or bend the wire and the door doesnt hit the bracket. its a great spot because it is easily removable and only one bolt if you want to remove the whole bracket for a while.

also, make sure you get a spring so that you can bend it down if needed

the only problem i can see with that is that i could see the coax failing from the door continually opening and closing on it since they are known to do so
