Agree, two different tools. Do you use a flash hole uniform tool for deburring as well?

Deburring flash holes? Don't do that either, lol. Then again I'm not shooting competition. I have a buddy who shoots F-class and he does all that, but really none of it is needed to produce ammo that still is significantly more accurate than factory.

I do have a primer pocket swager which I use for taking the crimp out of mil brass, but that's a once-per-case-lifetime thing.

    got a bench

it was my great uncles that he used for reloading way back in the day...it has a cabinet built into the lower shelf that is lockable that was allegedly a liquor storage cabinet

now maybe one day I'll stop being a tightwad and buy the equipment needed to actually reload

    Same.
    MILSPEC brass should be crimped.

Decapping is normal but you need to swage the pockets to seat a new primer.

This is the cats ass for case prep. Deburs, chamfers, uniforms pockets, etc. It's on my wish list.

i just use inside case mouth deburring tool to remove the military crimp and then pocket uniformer and primers slide right in.

I have one of these. Its very nice when I am not making super precision rounds. Another nice thing is that you can modify a lee case trimmer to fit it so you can trim your cases to SAAMI specs very quickly with it (again, not great for precision, but great for standard bulk rounds).

will spend that time rounding up a manual first, and then figuring out which ingredients i need and what other little small parts etc i NEED

I have settled on reloading first and foremost for my .44mag...i bought a set of .223 dies as well and will eventually get into the rest of my calibers

Nice, dude - you're well on your way. Jealous of the 44 Mag. I'm headed to AK again this year and I have to chase down a S&W 629 before the trip.

Shoot man, I know plenty of FFLs. If you're serious about moving one let me know. I'm planning on selling an AR lower to fund it or trade for part of it. I also have all kinds of fun stuff like EOTechs and ammo and guns if you're looking for anything.

I still have a .243 RCBS neck die if anyone needs it.

Also is it possible to deprime brass that the primer is still active?

Never heard if this, not sure I'd want to try it. There may be a way, but I'm unaware of it. Also, why not just load and shoot?
