I agree with this. These things are under so much preassure that they release on droop too fast once the vehicle weight is removed for just a split second. but then it feels like butter while wheelin.

I did not. I removed a leaf but had still ordered the new ones first. I will put them on now just because

I bought the lines when ordering the ome kit with dakars, I didn't remove a leaf, but disconnected the brake line mounting bracket at the axle just incase it were to droop too much and rip the lines. I didn't install the as lines when I did the leaf pack because I did it by myself and didn't have someone to help me bleed my brakes/push the brake pedal down. They are sitting behind the rear seats somewhere maybe when it gets warmer ill out them in

Sorry for the typos I'm on my phone and auto correct is pwning tonight

I'm ready to order a full OME kit for my first gen (03 dcab 4x4 v6). Im in NJ and I've exhausted all my local options. The 4x4 shops that do sell OME, don't have it in stock. I was trying to save on some of the shipping cost.

I just came across Colombia Overland
    http://www.columbiaoverland.com/product/toyota-tacoma-98-04-ome-2-suspension-lift-kit

The kit is only $952 plus shipping of course. But that base price is about $100 lower than anywhere else I have looked. Am I reading this correctly. I think my eyes are sick at looking at suspension kits. Ha

    Thanks

Is this apples to apples to the Colombia Overland kit?

I did not know they offer free shipping!!! I'm gonna call them when they open. It's says no sales tax either...? Is that for in state residents only?
Their kit seems like a great deal. Even comes with the extended brake line. $1159.

This could also be the case. Hmm. I can say that most if not all my 4X4 have done this both before and after any suspension mods...how lowed and harsh have varied.

I have LR UCAs, Dif drop (I know I know "does nothing for a 2nd gen") and still get the CLUNK

I just called DSM. They gave me a price of $1085 shipped to my door. The sales guy recommended 880 coils. Price is great. I'm just confused about the front coil size

Awesome! They are a great company to deal with. Only advise would be to inspect your pallet pretty well before signing for it. My shocks had some paint chips and were scraped up but DSM took care of it.

I told the rep I was recommended from TW. So I think it is..? I'm not digging the idea of 880's.

Ya all i did was tell them i was a member here and they knocked a little of the price. I dunno what to tell you about the coils because i don't know much about first gens. Is it like 2nd gens and 881,882 are 10mm and 20mm longer?

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on an OME kit with 885, the question I have is if I decide to install a top plate spacer later do the springs need to be taken apart or does the spacer go on top of the assembled shock?
