You should push out the hub out a tad to make sure the inner tire does not rub on the spindle. Average backspacing peeps are using is 4.25-4.50 " just for reference.

Can anyone with a 2nd gen engage kit help me out on here? First off i have the limited trail team rims there 16s (which i dont know the backspacing on first of all). The problem im having mainly is the engage kit when using the stock spindle has a spindle adapter piece but the uniball bolt for this was hitting the rim, so my solution was just putting my wheelspacers on for the time being (1.25 spydertrax) and that alowed them to clear. Im ordering new rims with my 35s but want to make sure i get the right backspacing, the tire was also hitting the spindle gusset but that shouldnt be a big deal i can probably grind that down, what wheel specs are you guys running? Id like to avoid using a 17 just because of tire prices and that they dont make the tire i want in a 35 for a 17 rim. Im looking at the MT classic locks but there a 4" backspacing and not sure if thats enough to clear. Any helps apriciated thanks guys!

Got Pictures of this adapter piece?

Measuring back spacing is easy, just pop the back wheel off and get a tape measure and ruler to get a rough idea of the back spacing.

Call Engage and see what they say. They should have a recommended spec of what you should be running for Wheel Size/Specs.

PS...Spaces and sentence go a long way :p

Its because those rims have like 5.5 bs...you need one with around 4.5 bs

4" bs will work fine as long as it clears the caliper.

Well it looks like that spindle is pretty much done but I would:

Do a vertical uniball in the lift spindle, offered with an upper arm obviously (easy tubes and some tabs, Camburg, this is all you, where are you guys on this?)
LT arm upgrade option available later
Adapter to bolt 8" coilover in stock lower untill LT arm upgrade
    profit

Didn't the maxtrac spindles kill the fabbed spindle market?

I want to see the engage lower adapter too please.

Like Monkey said, verify that it clears a 4.5" Backspacing with a 12.5" Wide tire at the top.

Curious as why not just go with a weld-in Square Bung for the UCA Bolt that way it'll be supported on all sides. Would limit you to those with Uniball UCA but I think it'd be the best way to go.

Edit: Is the slot for the ABS Wire on the bottom of the hub block :notsure:

So do you mean verticle uniball on a mid travel? Instead of verticle uniball this kit is horizontal but the race kit will be verticle uniball and we already have a guy lined up for that kit. These spindles will come with a hiem steering upgrade for midtravel (stock length) and longtravel as well.

    ...too much shit to list.
    Ummm....no.
Trail team wheels are 16x7.5 with a 15mm offset. Which comes out to 4.87" backspacing....not 5.5"

Camburg has a vertical uniball race LT design already. Just hasn't gone into production yet. They should be getting to it soon, along with their own spring under setup.

What is a pricing range on these Hiatt? I think I remember it being mentioned that he could do different sizes also? I wouldn't buy a 3 or 4" lift spindle, but I'd be in for a no lift fabbed spindle.

X2 or some 2" ones at most so we can reduce the preload on coilovers

Saw that other post krish. :D these will be made out of 3/16" cold rolled mild steel. Camburg uses 1/8" which is why you had the issue. Camburg makes insane stuff tho. I loved my ucas when i had em!

Aiming to bring top of the line suspension, at a very affordable cost. As well as helping the off-road community
That's not a bad idea about the threaded bung. The abs sensor is on the bottom. I figured that was the standard on lift spindles after seeing the max tracs. Ill also check wheel/tire clearance. Max tracs didn't really kill the market for lift spindles because they don't work with anyone's lt kits. The double sheared section hits the arm

As for the vertical upper uniball kit, it's definatly something we want to do. This tacoma kit is the first lt kit we have done with a horizontal upper and it does limit us. The biggest issue I have with yotas is the single shear lower uniball bolt. Well be doing a vertical upper/ double shear lower kit soon. There is a lot you leave on the table when u stick to a factory spindle and coil bucket.
