Nope..need it anytime that you are pulled aside and parked from any pavement or dirt road within the forestry boundary unless you in a specific fee area such as one of the OHV areas. I know this because I forgot to hang my pass and got a ticket from the forestry police. I had to go and find the ranger to show him I indeed had the pass, luckily he took the ticket back. Now rather or not each individual ranger enforces the permit is up to him or her..

 

I looked that up and could only find a Hodge rd just SW of Barstow, but it did not have an exit from the 15fwy... Maybe I found the wrong Hodge rd I recognize the name, but dont know where thats at

 

I think it's Stoddard Mountain Rd exit.

 

yeah thats it. its 1 exit past wild wash road. was just there this weekend

Just got home from driving to 29 Palms and back.

But scored a bestop for $150.

 

That place is awsome I go every month you exit and make a right shot at a tv once

They posted it in the SoCal CL finds. Cool dude. Bitchin matte black 2012. Said he had like 6 other people asking about it but I was the first with $$$. I paypaled him to hold it. In mint condition too. Threw in some extra vinyl, Velcro straps, and 4 quick fists as well.

Good Find. I was about to buy it and was ahead of you . He sent me additional pictures and told me about the small pin size hole in the window. Decided that I was too far to get it as gas was the factor.

Good find and dam he was unloading stuff for dirt cheap. If it were closer, I'd have it on my truck for camping purpose. Wouldve been perfect for a drive up the west coast.

 

Oh I also got the pin sized hole text as well. he was super cool and worked on base. Surprised me he wasn't on the site.

^Imagine me coming from Sherman Oaks. . . I'm even much further. Not even about the gas I was concerned with. It was the dam time and pretty much the whole day. I was trying to make a day out of it. . . Didn't transpire.

Now I'm kicking myself for it. . . LOL.

What Corey said...I go out that way about 8-10 a year...was out there on a service call at the best western in 29 palms...
Probably could have got if for either lol
