Why are the lower uniball mounts single shear? Or am I missing something here, I haven't been following the build.

It's so they can bolt up to Stock LCA, or I would assume that's the reason.

Double shear hits the lt lowers and the balljoint thickness is different than the uniball adapter.

You mean the LT LCA that are part of the kit you're running?

Aiming to bring top of the line suspension, at a very affordable cost. As well as helping the off-road community
Has anybody put giant 64" packs on 2nd gens yet?

I like the threaded bung suggestion.

Not that I'm aware of (not sure what leafs the Giant Bolt-on kit uses) don't think there would be much advantage too it. As guys are achieving 18" of travel (SUA obviously) which is probably the optimal amount for these trucks as any more I think they'd lack the power.

Yes. He had some issues with shackles rubbing and what not. Otherwise I think it's been good to him. They claim 21" of travel on their Website I believe, not sure how true that is though.

I don't know about that. I just know what we talk about whenever I run into the guys at Camburg, which is that they are going to start on the Tacoma SUA after a couple of customer builds, including another Tundra.

Yes, they sure are. They're kind of like me in that sense, I suppose; I have all the time in the world for paying customers and very little patience for deadbeat callers and emailers.

I think MJP2 (or something close) is running the 64 kit on his extra cab. I am installing one on my 1st gen next week. I will be cycling it so I will get the real travel numbers and let you guys know.

The big advantage to the giant packs is they have sprig rate all the way to droop. So even though u usually strap them at 19-20" they don't pack up. They worked so amazing on our ranger I would've never linked it if it weren't for the ls motor that's sapposed to be goin in soon.

That's the key to making leaf springs work! hell those ghetto chevy junkyard springs people do and droop alot of travel, but there's no spring to them
