    It's the twist, mostly. Dedicated rimfire barrels will have the proper 1:16" twist. Your centerfire barrel has a 1:7, 1:8 or 1:9" twist - less than ideal for the short rimfire projectiles.

    Yes, theoretically a dedicated upper would be more accurate. For one thing, it won't have the smoothbore chamber insert that most conversion kits have. Plus the correct twist, as mentioned.

    Yea, the seller needs to be pecker slapped for that bs.

    $12k gets you a Barrett M82, and that's a high price. Absolutely fantastic firearm and not some abortion of an attempt at a .50cal with an insane premium.
