About to look in the manual, but maybe somebody can help me out.

Just went into the garage and heard a noise, sounded like a small motor running. Turns out it was coming from under my truck, near the bed area. Anybody know what in the hell that might be? - it will probably take me forever to find it in the manual but here goes...any help will be appreciated.

It's normal. I can't remember the exact function, but I believe the fuel vapor system is doing what it's supposed to do on schedule. Those parts are located where you described.

There's also a robotic noise when you first start up and move forward/reverse. It's normal as well.

One guy made one joke, and not even in a mean spirited way...

And he's got 1400 posts - hardly a "sort of newbie"

    No need to get pissy.

Glad the OP got the answers he was after. Didn't seem like he was offended. Relax.
